Very poor on updating Patients’ Medications List!!! As a provider and clinic, you have to know what medications are currently active and what medications had ended (discontinued). You cannot print the patient’s meds list and say it is an active list of medications which including antibiotics, steroids, etc…It shows how much one’s care about one’s patients’ wellbeing.

Dr. Vicki makes me feel comfortable. She’s prompt, informative and listens to my opinions and concerns. Been going to her for over 7 years now. The staffs are always friendly and helpful. Love the cultural sensitivity aspect there too. Another important aspect is my insurance is accepted there. The location is great considering it’s between 71st and 72nd and capital, soo convenient. Blessed to have found V-Medical clinic, thank you!!

ALERT! Long review warning!
Okay, so 1st off it is with regret that I have to write such a terrible review for V Medical clinic.
For those that may not be aware, V Medical is Asian owned & mostly comprised of the Asian population, including assistant workers & patients. It's located on the North side of Milwaukee. Anyone that's familiar with this city pretty much is aware that majority of residents on that side of town are black African Americans, which I happen to be. Before I go further into this testimony, I am in no way accusing the workers over at V Medical to be racists. I have actually witnessed other black patients (not many, but a couple) who were being served while I was sitting out in the waiting room waiting to be seen.
The ladies that man the front area of the clinic have been kind to me for the most part. This also goes for the medical assistants who's job is to take vitals & draw blood. My last visit there, this male tech person wasn't so kind to me at all, though. Not outwardly rude, but just giving me the "stank look" and occasional "eye roll" all throughout my visit. I'll be totally honest I am a woman of color (African American) and of obese size. There was a derogatory remark that I had overheard him say to one of his co-workers regarding my weight (he's the one who had weighed me) that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to hear. This shocked me, but honestly I wasn't hurt by it. I've worked alongside a ton of Asians, and they've made it open as to how they feel about overweight people in general. I would have loved to discuss this situation with NP & now owner of the clinic, Vickie Leroy, but unfortunately she & I had gotten off to a rocky start. Long story short, she really doesn't care for me at all. LOL. I also believe that my weight bothered her just as it did others in the clinic. Now of course they're not going to come out & admit that. But the thing is if you're going to have a Medical clinic set up smack dab in the middle of the core inner city, you're going to have blacks walk through your doors. And some of those black people may be well over 250lbs. That's just the way it is. And if you rather not deal with that, perhaps set up shop on a different side of town. Just a thought.
Besides having to put up with little situations such as those, what made me finally realize it wasn't the clinic for me was when I was in a desperate spot a few months ago and needed a refill on my nightly insulin. I was told that it didn't matter that I was going out of town on an emergency, I'd just have to go without. Like are you freaking kidding me!? This is insulin that I shouldn't have to beg for. Not some narcotics that I was trying to get high off of. The time after that I was in excruciating pain and called up to attempt to get an emergency order of prednisone. Nope! No deal. I begged them, practically saying I couldn't walk & was really having a hard time. Still a hard NO.
Getting back lab results that were abnormal, such as levels of B12 off the charts. You think Ole Vickie could have at least called to discuss this with me or advise me on changes. Didn't happen. And if she didn't want to converse with me, she could have easily had one of her handlers do it. So yeah, I'll try to find another clinic where I'm wanted and hopefully not looked down upon. In working in the Healthcare industry, you see people at their worst. Not their best. Please take that into consideration.
Addendum: In a previous review I had read someone had spoken badly about the older male pharmacist who operates in the same building. And I can't tell you how much I disagree with that. That man is so sweet, caring, professional and kind. I will miss him and the brief laughter filled conversations he & I would have when stopping in to get my meds. He runs a great pharmacy & I wish him nothing but the best.
I had to be honest in my review (I write a lot of them). And lastly, there is no Asian hate coming from me towards Asians. I worked alongside many of them when working as a director of human resources. They're a beautiful people.
