These are the compassionate health provider-advocates I’ve been seeking. From the moment I entered, the folks checking me in were so warm and accommodating. Katie took necessary precautions and ensured I got the care I needed at Saint Mary’s Hospital nearby. I will most definitely be returning, and am in a hopeful process of finding a Primary Care Physician through Aayu. 11/10 recommend!

My nurse practitioner was absolutely the best. I don't want to say her name because I don't want her to get too busy. Lol Best medical service I've had in years. I'll ask my nurse practitioner if she wants me to release here name. The whole staff there is great from the assistants to the phlebotomist. I highly recommend the Aayu Clinic in Wicker Park. The clinic has very flexible hours and a variety of in-house services that make it a lot easier to access health care. They are also very kind and take the time to explain things in easy-to-understand language. Doctor's visits can be intimidating, but they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Bad communication. Don't tell you what they're charging for before they go through with it.. and $277 for a 9 minute video chat is ridiculous as it is, but not telling beforehand that there is a charge is a scam...I've been waiting for my prescription to be to the pharmacy for 3 weeks. Thank God it's only for my high blood pressure, not like it's anything important. I went in for blood work, then I was told they did do the tests I asked for so I had to come back for more blood work(was the 12 vials not enough?) only to start heading there to find out there wasn't anything put in for blood work today. I then get a bill from Northwestern medical for blood work... I haven't been to nwm in 5 years. Ooooh, So they use a third party and make you pay for it. Got it! Wouldbe been nice to know that upfront. Waste of time and MONEY! This place will not help you get better, they'll just expedite your demise. and no, I will not be attending my video appointment tomorrow.. you guys are horrible

I had no issue with the actual patient care at this clinic. The practitioners here were all very nice and capable. However, I experienced multiple issues with the billing as a result of the care I received here. First, the account on the patient portal did not accurately reflect the balance I was due or payments I had already made and was requesting that I pay more than what I owed. I talked to the front desk twice, once when I was at an appointment and once over the phone to ask them to help me clear up the discrepancy. I never heard back from them. Secondly, I reached out to the third party that my bill had been outsourced to and they were equally unhelpful. I emailed multiple times asking for a detailed breakdown of my bills and payment history so I could figure out what I actually needed to pay and did not get a response. Only when I called my insurance company and they had an advocate call the billing center with me did I finally get a response. When I did get a breakdown of my bill, I realized that the clinic had used an out-of-network lab for one of my tests without notifying me, resulting in a much higher cost to me. Additionally, the company had charged me different amounts for identical care because they had marked one as in-network and the other as out of network. I immediately called the billing company back to ask them to look into why two appointments with identical codes at the same clinic would be billed as in-network and then out-of-network. I never heard back from them. It's been several months of trying to sort out my bill and it's been such a difficult process that I ended up switching my care to a different practice and paying the bills even if it's a bit more than what I should actually pay with my insurance coverage.
