I have been a patient at the John Carlos center at Shepherd with Dr. Ben Thrower heading up my team since 2008. The care that the team delivers is unparalleled to anything I have ever had and I’ve been through MS centers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When I came to Shepherd in 2008, I was unsteady use of a cane was necessary part of the time , was having visual issues and overall depressed. With a new P/T program designed to meet my needs and a psychologist (unfortunately now is retired ) on staff to address the depression issues, it was a game changer ! Having Dr Thrower put all this together including help with getting a handicap plaque was easily done all under one roof . At Shepherd you feel like you can do everything you want with just a few modifications. I count Dr.Thrower as a blessing every day .

For me after 21 years of receving care and assistance, by far the best MS place . My Dr. Ben Thrower at the Institute is one of the most qualified and professional doctors I know on MS.
