The entire staff, and Dr. Rao were extremely professional and friendly. They got me right in, and the whole visit did not take very long, including some in office x-rays. So far, the exercises and medications they prescribed seem to already be helping!

I recommend Dr. Ames for your podiatry needs. There's easy check in on tablet. I suggest having any medications or allergies written down so you can have them uploaded by photo rather than manually entered. The nurse who takes you to exam room is thorough with her questions and pretty non nonsense. On my second visit she took me thru a series of x-rays, during which she loosened up. Dr. Ames has always been friendly and hasn't tried to push anything unnecessary on me. Thanks to the x-rays required for this visit, I learned new information about my feet, and was able to have a different, surprise, educational discussion I hadn't expected. I look forward to a continued long relationship with this office as we work on my foot health.

UPDATE: After I posted my original review, Dr. Rao reached out promptly and offered to refund the charge in question. I appreciate that he took my feedback seriously and made an effort to resolve the issue quickly. That said, my original experience still raised concerns. I wasn't told ahead of time that the foot soak would incur an extra $67 charge, and I was surprised at checkout to find it included - especially since I hadn't been given an itemized receipt. I also had a long wait during my follow-up and initially felt that my billing concerns weren't being fully addressed. I'm glad the doctor ultimately took responsibility and showed professionalism in responding. I hope this leads to improved communication around billing in the future. Patients deserve to know what they'll be charged for ahead of time and to receive clear, itemized receipts. I'm updating my rating to reflect the resolution and Dr. Rao's responsiveness. If you visit this office, I'd still recommend asking about costs beforehand and requesting a full receipt. After a minor procedure with Dr. Nilin Rao, I was given a foot soak as part of the aftercare - without being told it would cost extra. At checkout, I was surprised by a high charge. The receptionist told me it was because their system didn't yet reflect that I had met my deductible. I was only given a credit card slip - no itemized receipt. At my follow-up visit, I waited over an hour to be seen. When I raised concerns about the billing and said I believed I was owed a refund, I was told nothing could be done until insurance processed everything. Once it did, I was told there would be only a $1 refund because the foot soak cost $67 - a charge that was never disclosed to me ahead of time. This experience left me feeling that the office is not upfront about their charges and doesn't prioritize financial transparency. Patients deserve to be told in advance what they're being charged for, and should always receive itemized receipts. If you decide to go here, ask about every cost ahead of time and demand an itemized receipt at every visit. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust this practice again.
