I’m sure the doctors here are very intelligent. But if you ask too many questions, my impression was the doctor was getting upset that I wasn’t just taking his word for it. Also I had originally agreed to do the IV medicine for osteoporosis, but after I went home and looked it up on a few peer reviews, I decided it wasn’t for me. When I called back they said I would have to make another appointment to come in, even though in my second appointment the doctor had actually mentioned the alternative. So I’m feeling a little uncomfortable.

I have been receiving shots here and recently moved to a smaller city. YAZMIN has been AMAZING at helping me navigate a critical and complex system in the smaller city I'm in to help me continue to get my shots. Kudos to her - we've been working together for weeks and she's on top of everything! Proof to me that CROC really cares about patients.

It took several months out to get an appointment, but it was worth the wait! I had two phone contacts and the desk check in prior to my visit. Staff members were pleasant and helpful. Crystal escorted me to the exam room, started my chart, and let me know what to expect on this initial visit, taking extra care to put me at ease! Dr. Lewiecki soon entered and had clearly reviewed my health records (sent over prior to this visit by my primary care doctor.) He asked appropriate background questions, listened well, and his responses were professional, informative, and reassuring. I left with "homework", orders for more detailed lab and xrays, and an appointment for my next visit. I also left feeling like I'm in good hands and ready to do my part. Thank you to everyone with whom I came into contact today. I appreciate you, and New Mexicans need you in our healthcare systems.

Not happy about this practice. I have little respect for Dr. Lewiecki. When I first started there, I had questions about the amount of an over-the-counter med he told me to take... his response, "who's the doctor; you or me?" I should have left, but I liked my PCP there (she was great). Later in the years (recently); I stopped taking medication for my osteoporosis because I developed jaw necrosis complications. His response, "that never happens, they don't know what they're talking about." I proceeded to hand him proof & he then admitted it could happen. Later, he tried to put me on another medication & when I asked what side effects they had, he wasn't helpful, so I pushed for an answer & he told me heart attacks & stroke (both a huge family history, so why would I want to invite that). I explained to him, (however, if he followed my chart; he would know that) ... his response, "do you want to break a bone?" (again no concern on my behalf). When I told him I'm going to hold off, he told me there was no reason for me to have follow up care (bone density test). In addition, calls/messages rarely get returned (always have to leave multiple messages, letting them know it is call # " "... so very frustrating. Would I recommend this practice? Not likely; patient concern has been less than adequate.
