I’m writing to request an appointment next week (as your manager told me there was openings, just not for me anymore) or at least medication to ease my pain as I try to establish care with another physician (not by request). As you know, it takes months to establish care with another practice especially a pain medicine doctor. And even more difficult a physician who is trained in pudendal neuralgia. Your office is refusing to care for me even during the waiting/bridge period of trying to establish somewhere else leaving me in debilitating pain. Because of my refusal of care I may soon end up in an emergency room leaving me with medical and financial burden due to not caring for a patient during a desperate time of need. I am in so much pain I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what I did wrong that you no longer want to see me and I would have been open and transparent for any discussion had there been any at all. I cannot even get up to spend time with my family on the holidays. Not to mention there is now no documentation from my second pain log that I have filled out and was supposed to bring to my follow up for my second right medial branch log to help get an ablation covered with an outside provider. I currently have 10/10 pain. The pain will not come down despite rest, NSAIDs, lyrica or ice. The only thing that alleviates my pain is my ordered nerve blocks that you are refusing to give me. Dr. Attaman, I am a young 29 year old who did sports my whole life. I am also a nurse practitioner and I know what it’s like when there is a difficult case. I also understand patients may be frustrated when they are in pain. All I’m asking is to have a conversation and find common ground so we can have a good relationship and to please stop withholding my care. Your manager also discussed things I said and specifically about my care making me worry that HIPPA was violated. I have only met her once and I’m not sure how she knows about my case.

My encounter with Dr. Attaman was disappointing. He abruptly canceled my procedure, leaving the room without explanation. Rather than discussing the situation with me, he simply deemed me "nervous" and walked away. Subsequently, I received a bill for a procedure that NEVER HAPPENED, and attempts to clarify were met with unresponsiveness from his staff. Dr. Attaman's lack of professionalism and accountability is concerning. I strongly discourage seeking his services due to the dismissive attitude and questionable billing practices. Consider opting for a more reliable and trustworthy medical professional to save yourself unnecessary trouble.

I am a firefighter paramedic and our benefits directed me towards Dr Attaman’s office. His consultation process is simple and fast; you understand the next steps as soon as you finish the initial consult. Scheduling was very easy and accommodating. The office is relaxing and staff is professional and very friendly. Dr Attaman never pushed any surgical agenda and treated what I felt was permanent soft tissue pain within my neck with excellent results. Zero time off of work. Follow up was timely, thorough, and thoughtful. Recently I recognized I injured my knee; he was the first phone call I made. All the fear that comes with the what-ifs when we have these physical jobs and get injured was negated when I went to see Dr Attaman and I would highly HIGHLY recommend anyone, especially IAFF FFs with our benefits, to reach out and take a step to life without that nagging pain you’ve just put up with, new and old.
