What I appreciated most about my care was having a doctor who truly listened, cared, and never gave up on helping me live a better life. For years, Dr. Hawkins worked with me through fibroids, endometriosis, and adenomyosis, trying different treatments and procedures since 2021 in hopes of finding relief. When the time came to make the decision to have a hysterectomy, I felt supported, informed, and confident in my care. My life is forever changed for the better because of that decision, and I am genuinely looking forward to a much better quality of life. I will always be grateful to Dr. Hawkins for her dedication, compassion, and for making healing and hope possible for me.

I love everyone in the office. My great experience started from the person that I met all the way through and after my surgery. Dr Hawkins is so kind, personable and extremely knowledgable. She provides all of options that are available and gives you all of the information that you need to make a personal decision. She NEVER pushed her opinions or ‘what she would do’s’ on me.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Hawkins for the exceptional care she provided. I underwent surgery approximately two months ago, and my surgery was very successful. I was surprised to learn that this type of surgery could be performed with minimal pain and a short recovery period. I especially appreciated Dr. Hawkins’ patience and compassion. This was my first major surgery, and I was anxious; however, she reassured me and ensured I felt supported throughout the process. Even on the day of surgery, she offered to postpone the procedure if I needed more time to feel comfortable with my decision, which meant a great deal to me.
I was diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis over seven years ago, and the journey to find a physician who truly listened and cared was long and challenging. I experienced difficulties with proper diagnosis and later learned, after consulting multiple endometriosis specialists, that I had been taking Orilissa for an extended period without long-term relief. After a lot of consideration, I discussed surgical options with my gynecologist and expressed my desire to save my ovaries. Unfortunately, I was advised that due to the severity of my condition, I could not same them.
I then sought care from an out-of-network specialist but had concerns about potential post-surgical complications based on reviews. After extensive research, I found Dr. Hawkins, who was in my network, and from the first consultation, I felt confident in her expertise. She was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and explain the possible surgical outcomes depending on the extent of the endometriosis.
I ultimately proceeded with surgery, and Dr. Hawkins was able to remove all of the endometriosis while successfully saving my ovaries which I was told that it couldn’t happen. I am very thankful that I was able to share my journey with her and receive such compassion and care. Dr. Hawkins is truly a blessing, and if I ever had to face this journey again, I would choose her without hesitation. Thank you, Dr. Hawkins, for your dedication and commitment to improving women’s health.

I am SO grateful for Dr. Hawkins & Dr. Simpson's team. I made an appointment with Dr. Hawkins after a specialist at Emory failed to take my chronic pelvic/period pain seriously and attributed it to my antidepressant. After a consultation with Dr. Hawkins, we decided the best course was a hysterectomy to stop the period pain even if there was no endometriosis. Ultimately, we did find endo up to my belly button (didn't even know it could spread that far), but I do believe a hysterectomy was the right decision. The difference is night and day after surgery. I'm so glad she took my symptoms seriously, and I never felt invalidated during my consultation. Dr. Simpson saw me during my post-op and was also excellent/helped me understand my surgery results.
If you are dealing with any level of period pain, I highly recommend this office. Even if you don't have endo or fibroids, I believe Dr. Hawkins' team will educate you on the best path to manage the pain in good faith. Women's health is widely misunderstood, and to find a team that takes your discomfort and concerns seriously is a gift.
