I've been a patient for many years for severe intractable TMJ coupled with debilitating migraines and neck pain. The front desk staff quality is greatly improved with their new 5 star receptionist McKay. I was thrilled when I came in to the office with my daughter as she immediately checked me in with a genuine smile and offered me water and asked if there was anything else she could do to make me feel more comfortable. She accurately perceived that I was in a great deal of pain and made an extra effort . My daughter attends a lot of medical appointments with me and is familiar with many medical offices and even she remarked that the front desk receptionist named McKay is a standout employee. McKay is a ray of sunshine which can mean all the difference for a patient stricken with debilitating pain. On the other occasions that I've attended the office I was struck by how friendly and sweet this receptionist is and how her care and concern for patient wellbeing is at the forefront. I saw her kindly anssist other patients while I was waiting. My impression of the business has been significantly improved upon as a result of this single staff member . In this day and age it is rare that one encounters front office staff who are genuinely friendly and customer service oriented. I think it's important to recognize and reward such staff and I would like to recommend that the business owner consider providing this stellar employee with a paid day off and a Christmas bonus. Patients always remember how they are treated when they check in and leave an office and having such an employee at the Front Desk goes a long way towards boosting morale of patients and staff alike. This office is one of the few providers in the valley that specializes in TMJ and other oral facial pain ailments. I am thankful for Dr. Teruel as without the Botox and analgesic injections she provides I literally end up curled up in a ball of pain on some days.

Dr. Antonia Teruel is truly above excellence. Her knowledge, skill, and attention to detail are unmatched. Every visit feels personalized, and her genuine care always shines through. The entire staff is just as incredible--warm, professional, and always making you feel comfortable and welcomed. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my care for tmj. This is the only place I'll go! Highly recommend!

The Head Pain Institute is first and foremost professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable and has an exceptional facility. Unfortunately through my ENT I had been sent to another pain facility that should not be in operation. By word of mouth I finally found Dr Teruel, an expert in her field. I only have a glowing report for Dr Teruel and her staff and the highest regard. They were a welcome relief from where I had been. I was welcomed by a friendly staff, Mckay and Mickala. Making me feel immediately relieved. Ally, the technician was patient and kind as I recapped my nightmare experience at the last facility. I was lead through expectations of my appointment with ease. Dr Teruel greeted me having the background story and challenges with jaw pain and ringing in my ear. She accessed me explaining her findings in detail. Abby, a skilled clinic nurse made my mouth impressions with ease using a scanner wand vs the old school method of gagging with molding mush alginate! The splint she made me versus what the first facility made are night and day. Of course, as Dr Teruel’s practice has up to date technology, knowledge and equipment. I feel better just knowing that I’m in the right place. All I can say, look no further, this is the place to get proper help.
