3 yrs ago I fell off a ladder and broke my tib/fib in multiple places and destroyed my ankle. Emergency Room doc said I almost did a self amputation. My foot was literally hanging on by about 4” of skin. He thought amputation was only way to go. I naturally wanted another opinion. Dr Chaudari was called in. 5 surgeries later, my tib/fib are totally healed and have enough scar tissue to serve as semi-ankle. I am now 6’3 on my left leg and 6’ 1 1/2” on my right leg! Such is life. At least I still have a foot and leg. With a buildup shoe on right foot, can walk with no assistance. I am firmly convinced Doc saved my leg and foot. No more 1/2 marathons or basketball, but at 72 who cares!
