Patient reviews

I attended a golf mobility check 14 Dec 2025 at Emerald Isle and Meghan from Land And Sea Physical Therapy was extremely helpful in identifying how my swing could benefit from a few stretching and strengthening exercises related to my hips. She was also able to identify some tips to help alleviate pain from numerous prior orthopedic injuries and surgeries. After my session with her, I hit probably the best bucket of balls on the range that I ever have. My swing was much more consistent than it had been and it felt great. I would strongly recommend using Land And Sea Physical Therapy to find those helpful golf swing tips, exercises, and stretches that could benefit your swing and game.

I’ve been in and out of physical therapy for many years, and trying Land and Sea was a completely different experience. At other clinics, I often felt like the approach focused on basic exercises that acted as a temporary fix rather than really getting to the root of my movement issues and pain. Everyone here is friendly, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping patients achieve lasting results. My primary PT, Meghan, is exceptional. Each visit starts with a thoughtful check-in where we review progress and address anything new that has come up. She takes the time to answer my questions and makes sure I understand the “why” behind every exercise so I can continue improving outside the clinic. Meghan does a great job of pushing me just beyond my comfort zone while still respecting what my body is ready for. I feel supported, challenged, and confident that we are working toward long-term improvement, not just short-term relief. Highly recommend.

I came to Land and Sea looking for a specific purpose. I wanted to get more range of motion and mobility in my right hip. I have a background in movement and sports of many types and strength training but specifically was feeling limited in the “pop up mechanics“ of surfing. I came in giving Land and Sea “a shot”. I was a little timid about the idea of PT as my previous experiences were not great. Previously with physical therapy I was given an order from a doctor to work with the specific group to work on a specific issue. The therapist read the order and pulled out the cookie cutter list of exercises, very little manual therapy and few questions asked about how the injury occurred, my past injuries… actually little interest in my history and more interest in giving me my sheet of exercises to do without monitoring how I perform them. At Land and Sea I met Meghan Burris and from the beginning I saw the contrast between my past experience with PT and how it’s done there. Meghan spent a lot of time understanding my needs both in our conversation and with manual diagnosis. When she came up with an excercise treatment protocol she was very focused on proper form. Every week I returned we both discussed my progress and advanced the protocol keeping record of my exercises in a very user friendly app so I can reference them anytime I want to. Just as I was seeing the improvement I was looking for I had another accidental sprain on my left ankle. Disappointed that I would be immobilized for a while Meghan was able to put our hip mobility work to the side and start another protocol for my ankle injury. We started with Stemwave treatment and small mobility and a few weeks later I am not perfectly healed but in much less pain and am able to walk easily more than if I had done nothing. Megan has been fantastic with me and I feel so cared for. Land and Sea is the Physical Therapy is the care that you want not your doctors therapy but dare I say the therapy of the future. I highly recommend you “give them a shot”. You’ll be glad you did!
