It’s been a year since getting a Hair transplant done by Dr. McGrath and his team. Probably one of the best decisions I have made was to get this procedure done with McGrath Medical. Dr. McGrath and his team were very professional and caring . Made the whole process easy and reassured me with any concerns or questions I had prior to and after the procedure . I personally feel that if you had any thoughts of getting a hair transplant done, Dr.McGrath and his team is the place to go. The results are impressive and for me at about 6 months I could already see how good the results were going to be. Definitely highly recommend Dr.McGrath and his team.

I recently had an FUT hair transplant for hairline with Dr. McGrath in Austin and wanted to share my experience, especially since there is a lot of mixed information online about FUT and U.S.-based surgeons. From the in-person consultation through surgery and recovery, the experience was professional and straightforward. Dr. McGrath personally spent time with me designing the hairline and explaining the plan in detail. I never felt rushed or pressured, and the focus was always on creating something that would look natural and age well. On the day of surgery, Dr. McGrath and Dr. Hughes performed the strip excision and created the recipient sites themselves. The medical team handled graft dissection and placement. This was clearly explained to me ahead of time and matched exactly what happened during the procedure. Communication was clear and consistent throughout. As an East Asian male who prefers to wear my hair longer, preserving my existing hairstyle and donor area was very important to me. Recovery has been much easier than I expected. Even from the week 1, I had very little pain, almost no swelling, and healing has gone smoothly. The donor scar is currently almost invisible, especially when my hair is worn longer, which I believe is due to my hair density and the closure technique. I chose to stay local instead of traveling internationally and am very glad I did. The level of care, follow-up, and accountability made a big difference. Based on my experience so far, I am very happy with my decision and would recommend Dr. McGrath to anyone considering hair restoration, especially those who wear their hair longer and are deciding between FUT and FUE.

Dr. McGrath is truly a blessing to the hair transplant world. I previously had a hair transplant at Advanced Hair Restoration in Beverly Hills, California, but the results were extremely disappointing. I waited over a year after the procedure and saw no new hair growth at all—my frontal hairline was still a disaster, with absolutely no improvement.
