MVS Woundcare & Hyperbarics – Pikesville

Dr. Franklin was one of a couple of doctors suggested to me. Looked him up on line. Wonderful reviews. Appointments were booked up in Pikesville. I was able to see him much sooner because I went to the office in Rosedale. Well worth the drive. Dr. Franklin was so easy to work with. His focus on my issue, humor, and friendly style of communications told me I had found a doctor I could trust. The rest of my appointments were much closer to home. My approach to my wound had been all wrong. Dr. Franklin and Andrea took the time and effort to help me understand how and why their approach to my treatment was so important. For years I have used Velcro wraps to reduce swelling in both legs. They were kind of helpful but still allowed for swelling. Dr. Franklin advised me of a better type of wraps. They are much more effective. He also advised me about a system that works on both legs to reduce accumulation of fluid. Wounds on both legs healed more quickly as a result. In the past, the same skin issues had taken so much longer to recover. And then there is Andrea. She placed such close attention to detail. Andrea removed tiny particles from the wound as she cleaned and measured it each week. Andrea's experienced responses to my questions reinforced Dr. Franklin's explanations of the importance of proper treatment of my skin wounds. I honestly needed redirection in this area. Between Dr. Franklin and Andrea I finally got the message that my wounds could lead to more serious problems if not treated. Andrea brings the same type of positive communications to her position as I noted for Dr. Franklin. To put it mildly, I benefited greatly from their medical expertise. Their superior communication skills, delivered with a touch of sparkle, made it possible for me to ask questions and respect their response.

I had gotten my ears pierced at a less than stellar place and they became infected. I struggled for a month trying to find care, having seen two doctors prior to going to MVS and Dr. Richard Franklin. They all just kinda shrugged and told me to take the earrings out, which would mean my fresh piercings would close up quickly. I was confused because that wouldn't do anything to actually get rid of the infection. Dr. Franklin has a calming presence. He was very kind, very attentive and very knowledgeable. The very same day I saw him and began the suggested prescriptions my ears stopped leaking pus all together. The rest of the staff was also welcoming and kind. No one was stressed, they all seem happy. If you need help healing wounds or other services that they offer, you'll definitely be well taken care of at MVS.
