I ordered a digital protocol and my account was charged. After 2 weeks I still had not received it so I contacted Dr. Melissa. She said she would check into it. I didn’t hear back from her. Over the course of the next 10 days, I sent 2 more emails and left 3 voicemails. I received no response until I left a voicemail asking to make an appointment. Someone named Sam finally called me back from a “No Caller ID” number (which is very strange for a doctor’s office or business). He asked about scheduling an appointment for me but I explained I was just trying to get someone to call me back about my missing product. He verified my email address and said he would send it right out. I still did not receive it. I left 2 more voicemails and sent another email. Dr. Melissa finally responded when I said I wanted a refund and planned to make a report to the Better Business Bureau. She said she would refund my payment but I have yet to receive it! I was excited to find Dr. Melissa’s You Tube videos and thought she would be a good resource. I have been very disappointed in her lack of professionalism and customer service.

I scheduled a virtual consultation in October 2023 for $265. I ended up needing to cancel which I did, 7 days in advance of the appointment. I have never received a refund. I do not get call backs when I leave a message and the online chat person apologizes and makes excuses. What a disappointment, considering I have followed Dr. Melissa for years and thought highly of her. Please check out the BBB before doing business with NHR.

I purchased one of her guides from her website that was supposed to be an instant download. I never received it. I emailed her customer service email and received a response that many people were experiencing issues downloading the guides and that the website was undergoing maintenance. I was assured that I would receive the guide. Weeks went by, I asked for a refund... nothing, no response. Another week went by, nothing... emailed Melissa after she sent a newsletter and was told to check spam. It was never there so I emailed her back and showed her the response I had got prior weeks earlier and asked that they send the guide or refund. Nothing, no response. Now the guide was only $8.99 but it’s the principal of the matter. Poor customer service and what if she is doing this to hundreds or thousands of people, making bank off the guides that people are purchasing but not receiving 🤦🏾‍♀️ Buyer beware.

I had a full priced full length appointment by phone at the start of the pandemic. Absolutely nothing was done for my lipedema. Nothing. I got nothing normal in person appointments receive. I had colostrum and tea recommendations and that’s it. No help with compression garments or anything else I needed. And was told my period which I had not had for 10 months or so would likely come back and the tea would help weight gain and that i was probably estrogen dominant, which she didn’t address treating. To make matters worse, after I was told in a subsequent email we should measure for garments, I reached out repeatedly for help with no reply. Eventually after I saw she was still posting on Instagram etc I wrote in about my dismay at being dismissed and was told her email had been down. Fast forward and I started getting automated emails addressed to Steve!!!! I am a female named Jenny. And it’s now been over 4 years no period. Continued progression of weight and lipedema and I was estrogen dominant and she helped nothing.

If you’re thinking about a one-on-one virtual session with Melissa, I would save your money. I’ve watched her youtube videos for months and decided to schedule a virtual appointment. During our conversation she told me she couldn’t go back and look at my bloodwork... She recommended one of her protocols where I needed to purchase it to even get the recommendation. In addition, she recommended these supplements that I purchase through her online site. I did and one of the major products was out of stock. I waited about a week, and then decided to purchase them from another site as I was eager to get started. When I started the product I had some serious side effects and so I emailed her asking for an alternative... no response. I called.... mailbox is full. And then I sent an email saying to cancel my order for the back order supplement and it shipped 2 days later. Her protocols suggest a one size fits all, and this should be the case with a healthcare professional. As a T1 diabetic I am really disappointed in the way I was treated and amount of money I spent.
