OlympusMD Pain and Wellness Specialists

My experience with Olympus MD has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After waiting about 3 weeks for authorization from my attorney’s office for a plasma and cortisone injection, I was informed that the procedure would not be done. The reason given was that a worker reported that I was “rude.” Without any investigation, facts, or recordings of the conversations, they chose to refuse me service based solely on hearsay. To add there has been no pain medication prescribed. During this time, I was repeatedly told over several days that someone would return my call, yet there was never a true commitment to follow through. The back-and-forth communication and constant excuses showed a lack of organization and accountability. Since my accident on January 7th — a rear-end collision — I have been in ongoing pain. From that day until now, I have remained patient. I waited through the delays, communicated respectfully, and followed the process. It was not until approval was finally received that the office decided they no longer wanted to move forward with my care. I communicated that my attorney had placed my case on hold and that I might need to seek new representation because they were unwilling to demand accountability from the responsible party. Instead of focusing on my medical needs, the office chose to contact my attorney and suggest that I find another provider. My counseling appointment was also canceled. All of this only adds further delay to my ability to receive the injection needed for pain relief and healing. It is inhumane for a medical office to make suggestions for a patient who is in pain to simply “find someone else,” especially when that patient has done nothing but remain patient throughout the process. The overall response from the office felt unremorseful and dismissive. When I informed them I would be leaving a review, there was no concern shown. The only person who appeared genuinely concerned about my care was Sierra, the nurse practitioner. She seemed to advocate for my appointment and addressed my needs with professionalism and compassion. Unfortunately, that level of care was not reflected by the rest of the office. Sometimes there is a thin line where decisions reflect a lack of integrity and righteousness, and I feel this was one of those times. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Olympus MD. Patients deserve consistency, professionalism, compassion, and ethical decision-making — especially when they are already navigating pain and the aftermath of an accident.

This office is absolutely fire! I know Dr. Omar personally, but I have to give a huge shoutout to his incredible staff. Comanesa, Shelia, and Chancey personally helped me with my visit for neck PRP shots, and they were amazing, cool, fun, and completely focused on my care. The vibes here are unmatched. The whole team, including Kermaline, Liz, Mesert, and Synthia, makes you feel welcome. If you want a place that’s professional but has nothing but good energy, this is it. 10/10 recommend!

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Dr.Haj was kind and walked me through everything that was going on. Any wait times were relayed so I wasn’t left wondering. He worked with me (and my insurance) to figure out what options worked best for me. He also gave me “back up” plans/next steps. I would definitely recommend the practice!!
