Patient reviews

People are mostly nice but their appointment and scheduling policy is garbage. I work on a field where I can get called out for work. On the day of my scheduled an appointment I got called out for work and let them know as soon as I was called, telling them I wouldn't be able to make it. They charged me a cancellation fee and told me there was nothing they could do about it. I rescheduled the appointment for a couple of weeks later. On the day of my appointment, they called me 10 minutes before (as I was on my way to the appointment) and told they needed to cancel my appointment because they couldn't get me in at that time. I asked them if I could get refunded for the time I had to cancel and they told me it didn't work that way. I never went back. I now go to Uptown Dental and LOVE it. People are nice and very respectful.

Everyone at Precision Dental is very nice. The dental assistant is very personable. She treats me like family. Dr. Steichen is the best dentist I have ever seen. He takes time to explain and answer any questions I have. I really don't mind going to the dentist because they are very pleasant.

My wife and I were patients here for 9+ years. Had I written this review a year ago, it would likely be at least four stars. Unfortunately, six months ago my wife needed an implant and is in the middle of that process, which will cost us $7000 out of pocket. Recently, I too developed an issue and Dr. Steichen recommended two implants. Looking at out of pocket expenses of over $20,000, we decided to explore other options. We found a different general dentistry practice and after an initial exam the new Dentist questioned why Dr. Steichen was suggesting an implant on #12. He referred me to Dr. Travis Rudd, an oral surgeon (voted Albuquerque's best multiple times) who confirmed that #12 did not need an implant but a second tooth, #6 did. So the short story is Dr. Steichen was 50% correct( or 50% wrong). We let Precision Dental know we were moving on to the new dental practice and had them forward our records. Despite us being longtime patients, they didn't seem to care that we were leaving; no phone call or 'what could we have done better?' FYI we had also referred many friends to Precision over the years.
