Wonderful people! Amazing technology! The staff works so hard to teach family members and caregivers how to care for their loved one and move them on to the next level. We are looking forward to our next round of therapies at Shepherd Pathways. Thank you for all the love and care we felt, from our case manager & every single therapist. Awesome & consistent teamwork! My brother sustained a traumatic brain injury and spinal cord damage, resulting in severe anxiety, depression, and frustration. When I consulted Dr. Faydia regarding his condition and inquired about potential medication to address his emotional distress stemming from lost independence, job loss, and relocation away from his daughter, she suggested contacting law enforcement to de-escalate the situation. However, considering my brother's cognitive impairments, I found this recommendation to be unprofessional, as it prioritized involving authorities over prescribing suitable medication to alleviate his emotional struggles. Subsequent discussion with the medical manager attributed the issue to a miscommunication between the doctor and myself, but ultimately dismissed my concerns. On Friday, an incident transpired due to the facility's negligence in addressing medication concerns, resulting in my brother departing the facility on Friday night, and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon putting himself at risk of serious harm due to heightened anger and frustration. Currently, reinstating inpatient care at a different facility is being explored as an alternative to medication adjustments. Currently, his medication regimen consists solely of Lyrica and a pain patch, which was initiated on Thursday afternoon! Be aware that having tattoos or not appearing sufficiently educated may lead to condescending treatment, as both Dr.Faydia and Liv Nyankori the program manager interrupting me mid sentence and disregarding my concerns! Be cautious about sending loved ones to this location that suffer TBI especially if you cant physically ensure their well-being!!
