I had an excellent experience at Texas Skin Center. I recently had to switch dermatologists after my previous provider moved away, and I was nervous about seeing someone new after being with the same provider for years. I can now say with full confidence that choosing Texas Skin Center was absolutely the right decision for me. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, which immediately helped ease my nerves. The check-in process was smooth, and everyone made me feel comfortable and cared for. The Medical Assistant was also very kind, attentive, and reassuring, making the entire visit feel calm and supportive. The provider took the time to truly listen to my concerns and clearly explain everything. I especially appreciated that they offered multiple treatment options and walked me through each one so I could decide what was best for me and my skin. I never felt rushed or pressured, and I felt fully involved in my care. The office was clean, well-organized, and relaxing, and it’s clear that Texas Skin Center prioritizes both medical expertise and patient experience. I left feeling confident, informed, and genuinely cared for. I would highly recommend Texas Skin Center to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-centered dermatology practice

I had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience with Shianne Busch, PA. Before my appointment, I completed all paperwork and paid my $40 co-pay at the front desk. At no point was I informed there could be additional charges. No one told me about any deductible. Once I was in the exam room and the visit was about to begin, a staff member suddenly told me I owed an additional $60 toward my deductible—the first time this was ever mentioned. I asked if patients are supposed to be aware of potential additional fees before even paying a co-pay, and I was told yes. Clearly, the front desk failed to inform me—no one gave me this information. Because I was blindsided with this extra charge, I declined treatment and walked out. I then asked if my $40 co-pay would be refunded since I received no care. The assistant left to check and came back to say no. So to be clear: I was not treated, received no services, and they still kept my $40 while planning to submit the visit to insurance. This is deceptive, unprofessional, and unethical. Patients deserve full transparency about costs before an appointment begins, not after they’ve already paid. This felt like a blatant money grab, and I will not be returning.

What can I say? Everyone was friendly, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helped me feel at ease in preparing me for the exam and procedures that I went through. I left the office feeling impressed at their practices; and I’m glad to have this opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences. Thank you!
