I've struggled with meniscus tears and knee pain since childhood, and was unfortunately misdiagnosed and mistreated by several doctors along the way. Everything changed when I connected with Dr. Stone, who has now successfully treated both of my knees with meniscus replacements. Dr Stone did surgery on my ankle. The talus bone in the top of my foot had been crushed in a head on collision with a drunk driver 3 years ago. I was tired of the pain. My local orthopedic doctor was only up to fusing my subtalor joint. I don’t want that. We searched all over the world and found Dr Stone. He and Dr Van Gompel did a great job. They removed bone fragments that were in the joint, rerouted my tendons that were messed up from the collision and cleaned up my subtalor joint and transplanted cartilage (a process he pioneered). He was professional, polite and did an exceptional job. Here I am 5 days post op and recovering nicely
