I genuinely hoped to leave a positive review, but my experience fell short in several important areas. During my initial consultation, specific practitioners were discussed and presented as part of the experience. However, I was not given the opportunity to schedule with those individuals. That felt misleading. I also asked directly why their pricing was significantly lower than competitors such as Mindbloom. I was told it was simply due to their business structure. What was not disclosed is that the dosing protocol appears to be substantially lower than what other companies typically provide. Given that I specifically asked about dosing during the sales call, I would have appreciated full transparency upfront. As for the experience itself, it was underwhelming. The introductory session was essentially a deeply relaxing meditation. The full-dose session produced approximately 15–20 minutes of deep relaxation with mild visuals, but nothing close to the level of depth or integration I was seeking. For context, I am a Certified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist with over a decade of professional experience helping clients create meaningful change. I entered this process hoping to expand my own internal work and potentially recommend the service to clients if it proved effective. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot do so. The team members were polite and kind. However, I declined post-session “integration advice” because I did not feel the guidance offered matched my level of professional background or experience. The final disappointment came when I received a text suggesting I join a membership program to access medication at a lower cost. After an already underwhelming experience, that message felt more sales-focused than client-centered. This was my personal experience. It may be helpful for others, but it did not meet my expectations.

I have had nothing short of a fantastic experience with this company. I have been with them for quite some time and every interaction has been positive. The staff I have spoken with, especially my personal provider, have been so kind, understanding and empathetic. I have a nonstandard case because of some prior medical history and they have gone out of their way to work with me on more than one occasion I feel heard and understood. They reach out to make sure things are going ok, ask if you need any support. Never once on those calls was there any attempt to upsell, it felt truly genuine. I have found with some telemed companies you talk to the Dr for 2 minutes, get the rubber stamp, and don't hear anything till you get that call asking if you're ready for a refill. I don't have that feeling here. Especially after the due diligence they did in regards to my case to make sure I would be safe. Let's not forget the app. There is so so much valuable information, links to resources and playlists, journal prompts and so much more. Things other apps charge an arm and a leg for. In light of giving a 100% honest review I will say that 6 months ago I would have only given 4 stars maybe. Communication was very slow over the weekends but they have stepped up their game. Even reaching out over the holiday when I needed something. BetterU has been a pillar in my foundation for some time and I don't see that changing anytime soon if they keep this up!
