What I like the most about Dr. Gelber is that he provides cutting edge treatment. I have never seen PRP, infrared laser, and a hyperbaric chamber all in one office. He always has something new and updated to tell me.

Kind, caring, great bedside manner. I feel heard and that Dr. Gelber goes the extra miles to make sure my needs are met. If you are in need of hip or knee treatment I highly recommend scheduling time with Dr. Gelber. Update as of 7/21/2025 Since my treatment with Dr. Gelber, I have been able to begin an exercise plan that has enable me to lose 40 additional pounds. He has offered guidance that I have followed and it has improved my heal greatly. I will be returning to see Dr. Gelber for PRP treatment to further enhance my healing. I feel that my treatment with Dr. Gelber is responsible for 90% of my healing over the last two years relieving me of 11 years of pain.

I had an excellent experience during my visit with Dr. Gelber at LA Ortho and Wellness at his Burbank office location. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well cared for. Dr. Gelber took the time to thoroughly explain issues pertaining to my shoulder injury and provided valuable insights into the healing process and options for treatment. I was especially impressed with the detailed explanation of PRP treatments. He made sure I understood the benefits, potential outcomes, and how it could specifically help and improve my condition. The entire staff was professional and friendly, making the process smooth and stress-free. I left feeling informed, supported, and optimistic about my recovery. Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Jonathan Gelber, whose practice is LA Ortho and Wellness, was recommended to me 18 months ago, by my incredible chiropractor, Dr Angela Faisal, of Pasadena. She determined that my over-trained shoulders and hips needed a higher level of care, and because of my mind/body connection beliefs, and Dr Gelber’s holistic practice, she knew it would be a great fit. I was able to see him almost immediately, and found him to be attentive, approachable, enthusiastic about treatments, and using alternative ways of strengthening muscles to alleviate pain and avoid the possibilities of surgeries. We tried one or two treatments with recommended nutrients, and along with physical therapy, I actually undid years of compensation, and was able to use the shoulders more normally, and walk more normally. Recently I had to contact him again due to a fall in which I sustained a fracture of the upper arm and a gash to same arm. He saw me right away and again, was compassionate, and enthusiastic about the care of both. Although he doesn’t attend to wounds like I had, he was able to guide me and direct me to the care that was needed. He is very comfortable to talk to, and to ask questions of, as nothing is too mundane or unimportant…he wants you to understand everything. If you have questions, he answers emails quickly. I never got the impression that anything I asked or needed disturbed his practice at all. About his practice, LA Ortho and Wellness, his staff is delightful…also attentive and helpful and eager to make you comfortable. The office is situated in a refurbished building, which gives the impression of comfort and a peaceful place to have your needs attended to. I will sing Dr Gelber’s praises to anyone needing orthopedic care…
