Beyond measure, Dr. Kochan has helped me manage pain and overcome trauma from a car accident shortly before an (unrelated) total joint replacement surgery. Not able to (nor want to) imagine how I would be if I weren't referred to him from my osteopath to target both chronic & acute pain as my body post-accident/surgery remains highly sensitive to reversion based on triggers. I have struggled with chronic pain on my right side mostly (neck, shoulder, arm, wrist) for a very long time. When the pain first started about 10 years ago, I thought it was a gym-related injury. The ortho doc couldn't really find an issue that warranted anything other than a diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome and prescribed celebrex. I did my best to deal with the pain which most days was unbearable having to type all day. I tried so many different things including osteopathy, acupuncture, PT, you name it, I tried it. Most things of course did help temporarily, but the truth is, I couldn't get any real relief. My family osteopath referred me to Dr. Kochan. I have seen him 5 times in the past 4 months and I'm very happy to report that I am nearly pain free, and consistently. This is something I have never experienced in all these years. Just took a vacation to Maui and was able to swim, dive, hike with NO issue. It truly is life-changing. Dr. Kochan is extremely methodical in his work. He will spend alot of time assessing your body and situation before he even uses the ultrasound machine to look at you. And once he does, rest-assured, every step of the way, you are without a doubt in good hands. His team is equally amazing. Although Doctor Kochan has never worked on me, I have sat, taken notes and watched the various procedures he has performed on my fiance Hank. Dr. Kochan always went above and beyond what I've seen other doctors and therapists try to do for Hank through out his baseball and racquetball careers. Having been a nurse in the US Army years ago has given me a unique perspective. Watching Dr. Kochan work has always been impressive to say the least. He really cares! Dr. Kochan has kept Hank off the operating table and helped heal his back, knees and neck. Prolotherapy and the other treatments that Dr. Kochan performs really do work! I have seen both sides - Dr. Kochan's work and my fiance's body heal pain free so he can continue to do what he loves to do - compete!
