How can one convey their overwhelming gratitude to a group of people responsible for literally transforming their life? In my journey toward relief from persistent, treatment-resistant depression, my therapist recommended I reach out to Skylight. Dana responded immediately with kindness, compassion, and empathy. Briana quickly implemented a treatment plan and her wisdom, insight, and guidance were fundamental to my healing. While I won’t wax poetic (at least here) about the results, I experienced “normalcy” for the first time in my life, like a light switched on, and I could finally see the world through the “right” lens. But more than anything else, this therapy provided me with invaluable mindfulness tools that allow me to recognize depression’s lies before its fog attempts to blanket me. I am a prime example of how these therapies can help unlock unseen mental horizons, even when it appears hope has been exhausted. Combined with a lot of self-work, the medical professionals at Skylight—and the therapeutic tools they utilize—didn’t just save my life; they birthed a remembrance of my consciousness.
