Highly recommend Margo Tom, NP for anyone seeking hormone therapy!
I just had my initial appointment with Margo, and I couldn’t be more impressed. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely listens. She took the time to go over my history, labs, and symptoms in detail without rushing me out the door like so many providers do. I immediately felt comfortable discussing everything with her (which is huge when you’re dealing with hormone issues).
She explained female hormone replacement options clearly, laid out a realistic plan, and made sure all my questions were answered. I feel hopeful that she's going to get this right for me. If you’re looking for a compassionate, skilled NP who specializes in women’s hormones, Margo is absolutely worth booking with. Already looking forward to my follow-up!
So glad I found her!

Updated Review (in response to provider’s reply):
Since posting my review, the provider’s public response contained several statements that are inconsistent with our documented exchanges. I provided Margo with three recent blood panels before my appointment on August 16, 2025, and intended to only continue with my hormone balancing plan with a testosterone pellet. If she had reviewed my labs thoroughly, she would have seen that I was still naturally producing estrogen and didn’t need supplementation. Instead, she added estrogen unnecessarily, calling it a “baby dose.” When I confirmed the testosterone pellet price, she explained that the additional $75 was because we were doing “other stuff.” I do not understand what the additional $75 charge was if Margo does not upcharge additional hormone supplements, as she stated in her response.
My trusted nurse practitioner (NP) in Florida later reviewed my labs and confirmed that the estrogen dosage was too high and disrupted my hormones. Three months later, I am still experiencing symptoms — including heavy bleeding and ongoing hormonal imbalance — directly resulting from this treatment.
Our text exchange began on August 28, 2025 at 8:09 PM, where I reported pain, a bulge at the pellet site, and new symptoms of bloating and breast tenderness I had never experienced under prior care. Margo did not respond until 9:21 PM (over an hour later), contradicting her public claim of replying “within 30 minutes.” That discrepancy reflects a larger pattern of inattention and inaccurate statements. She also mistakenly texted me as if I were her assistant — another example of failing to read the text thread carefully. Additionally, my review had nothing to do with her response time, it was the lack of addressing my symptoms.
Her only advice was to “use Benadryl cream” and wait a week instead of addressing the cause of my symptoms. Dissatisfied with Margo's text response, I contacted my Florida NP who was the one to suggest remedying the pellet bulge using a foam roller, which worked after doing it twice. A method Margo never suggested (and Aug 28 was nearly two weeks post pellet injected on Aug 16). My Florida NP also confirmed that Margo’s reassurance that symptoms would subside in a week was medically incorrect; the high estrogen dose continues to affect my body months later.
Her claim of having provided a “plan moving forward” is inaccurate. There was no plan, no follow-up, and no accountability. The inaccuracy of Margo's statements raise serious concerns. Hormone therapy requires precision, transparency, and genuine care — none of which I experienced with Margo. I have incurred additional expenses and inconveniences to rebalance my hormones from a once already effective plan.
For anyone moving to a new state or seeking a new practitioner, I strongly recommend asking your prior provider for a written summary of your exact hormone plan and dosages. It helps ensure continuity of care and protects you from unnecessary or duplicate treatments. Choose a practitioner who listens, reviews your history carefully, and communicates truthfully.
To verify the facts, I’ve attached screenshots of our text exchange from August 28, 2025. Margo later provided her office number for future communication, which I used on September 3, 2025 to confirm the exact testosterone and estrogen dosages with her assistant. That information was forwarded to my Florida nurse practitioner, the only provider who thoroughly reviewed my labs and offered a clear, evidence-based plan to move forward.

I was very glad that I went and saw Margo to help me with a weight loss plan. She was prompt, took a thorough history, very kindly discussed ways that I could deal with my over eating, and got me started on Tirzepitide right away. She said to call for any questions or problems. I feel that I have a partner and a resource to help me lose weight.
