The practice emphasizes individualized treatment planning following comprehensive evaluation, with a focus on hormone-related conditions including andropause, menopause, and age-related decline. I’ve been a patient at this practice for almost seven years, and unfortunately, the quality of service has declined significantly in recent years. Since my primary care physician resigned last year, it has been nearly impossible to get an appointment.
I managed to schedule one back in December 2024 for November 10, 2025 — almost a year in advance — only to receive a call yesterday informing me that they made a scheduling error and had to cancel it. The next available appointment? December 28, 2026.
My husband also booked his appointment about a year ago, and a few months ago they told him there was a problem and rescheduled him for April 2026.
It is unacceptable and disrespectful to make patients wait nearly two years to see a doctor, especially due to their own operational mistakes. I can no longer recommend this practice and sincerely hope other patients don’t experience the same level of frustration and inconvenience that we did.

Dr. Thakkar and her nurse Debbie are the absolute worse. To keep it short since I already have a complaint against her, during our visits she did not show one ounce of concern, my first visit after telling her everything that was going on she looked at me and said “so why did they refer you to me”. After she gave me my diagnosis she had her nurse call me and tell me what it is was and stated “ if you want to keep your appointment you can” like my diagnosis wasn’t serious. Every time I messaged her through the portal, her nurse Debbie would say “oh she said go here and to go there” instead of her doing what she needed to do as a doctor she tried putting me off on other doctors. The final straw was when I called up there directly and spoke with Debbie, she tells me “Dr. Thakkar said you left her some rude messages but you can still come in” then a few minutes later a different nurse calls me and says “Dr.thakkar said just go to your neurologist she’ll help you and you go ahead and cancel your appointment” when she is the one I’ve being seeing and my condition is supposed to be handled by her. I hope all phone calls are recorded, and I have every message sent, I never once sent a rude message. If you want to be cared for properly, do not go to her. I don’t know if it’s discrimination or what, but I will get to the bottom of it

I will not be returning to this practice. While they allow you to make an appointment, they don’t seem able to keep one. Like everyone else, I’m busy and already flooded with text messages that I have to quickly sift through to decide what’s important and what’s not. I scheduled my appointment and believed I was receiving reminders. Instead, the messages required confirmation—something I misunderstood. I took time away from work, only to arrive and be told my appointment had been canceled because I hadn’t confirmed. They offered to see me after more than an hour’s wait, but I declined. I had already rearranged my work schedule, which they showed no understanding of. As a straightforward patient who would have needed only a basic appointment and lab draw, this experience was unnecessarily frustrating and disrespectful of my time.

A week before my appointment, I received a reminder email. There was an option to reschedule or cancel. I did not select cancel. I clicked reschedule only because I wanted to check if there was an *earlier* time. It did not take me to any page or schedule, just a message that said I would be contacted.
2 days later, I get a call at 8:44am that I missed. They left a voicemail saying because they couldn't reach me, they cancelled the appointment altogether and that I need to call back to reschedule. I called back later that day & was told the next earliest available is 4 months from today. I have already been waiting 4 months for my follow-up. So 5 days before my appointment, instead of even waiting a day or a few hours for me to call back, they cancel an appointment I had been waiting 4 months for. That's so impractical and inconsiderate.
So me simply trying to find out if there was an *earlier* time is going to cost me waiting 8 months for a follow-up instead of 4 months. The doctor won't even remember me by then.

I have been a patient for many years, and Dr. Valdecanas and her staff are so nice and attentive. Whenever I use the online portal, get a reply within 24 hours. I am very fortunate to have a doctor I am comfortable with and one that I can trust.
