One of the biggest mistakes I have made was getting my first hair transplant at Leonard Hair Transplant Associates. I was a young adult with a receding hairline and chose this clinic because I live in the area and it is highly respected and well known, especially for treating famous athletes and celebrities. That reputation was a big reason I trusted them. I paid about $17,000 for only 1,200 grafts, and the results were extremely underwhelming. After getting other opinions, I went to Boston Hair Restoration and paid about $9,000 for 3,000 grafts. Seeing the difference in value and outcome made me realize how overpriced my first procedure was. In my opinion, much of this clinic’s reputation comes from the high-profile people they treat, and it feels like that reputation is used to justify charging extremely high prices to regular patients. Unless you are a celebrity or athlete, I do not believe you will be happy with the value you receive. That was my experience. To be fair, the staff were kind and polite. I have nothing negative to say about them personally. But kindness does not replace results, and this is a procedure where results matter most. Hair transplants are a major financial and emotional investment. If you are serious about getting your hair back, I strongly recommend comparing graft counts, pricing, and multiple clinics before choosing this one. I wish I had done that the first time. Celebrity names build the reputation, but everyday patients pay the bill. Do your research and be careful who you trust with your hair.

Met with Mark and Dr. Lopresti and had a very positive experience with answering all my questions and providing recommendations on next steps both surgical and non-surgical options, which was exactly what I was looking for. What I most liked about the experience was it didn’t feel salesy in any way. Just a good conversation with honesty and transparency throughout the consultation.
