About this clinic
Columbia Mental Health, a mental-health clinic in Baltimore, offers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) alongside counseling services. TMS is a non-invasive neurostimulation protocol used to address treatment-resistant depression and related mood conditions. The clinic serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families, positioning TMS as an option for patients who have not responded adequately to conventional pharmacotherapy or who seek to avoid or reduce medication reliance. Treatment plans are individualized following clinical evaluation. The practice combines TMS with traditional therapeutic support, reflecting an integrative approach to mental-health care across the lifespan.
These people are awful. They are in network. It's not enough just to take my insurance card and bill my credit card the co-pay. These people have to have me have a card on file, and have a credit agreement like I have never seen whereby if they make a mistake I cannot dispute the charge. I am concerned that this allows them to balance bill me. I’m concerned this allows them to surprise bill me. I am not an attorney. My understanding is that pursuant to the no surprises at patients need to know if their charges upfront. That is not legal advice.
My provider would not see me unless I agreed to those charms and told me I was probably going to be billed for a missed appointment. These people are a bunch of thieves.

I’ve had a really positive experience working with Chrone.. From the beginning, a created a space that felt safe, calm, and completely judgment-free. It’s clear they genuinely listen and take the time to understand what you’re going through rather than rushing to give surface-level advice.
What I appreciate most is how thoughtful and practical their guidance is. He help connect patterns, ask the right questions, and offer tools that are actually useful outside of sessions. I’ve noticed real progress in how I handle stress, communicate, and understand my own reactions.
Compassionate, patient, and professional, while still being very easy to talk to. Therapy can feel intimidating at first, but they make the process feel approachable and supportive.
I’m very grateful for the work we’ve done together and would absolutely recommend Chrone to anyone looking for a therapist who truly cares and is invested in helping their clients grow.

I am happy with the services at CMH. The admin is efficient and organized and make the telehealth process smooth and convenient! Elizabeth Christensen, PA-C, is especially an outstanding provider! She combines a deep understanding of current psychiatric research with a warm, patient-centered approach. It is rare to find a practitioner who listens as well as she does. I especially appreciate her expertise in maternal mental health, which has been a cornerstone of my care. I cannot recommend her highly enough."

I’m a telehealth patient and billing is very difficult and I find it very hard to get a hold of anyone to ask questions. I have asked for investigation into my charges several times and never get a follow up. I always feel like I’m talking to someone brand knew and I’ve been a patient for several years, but no one seems to know what I’m talking about.

I'm very happy with my counselor and her services. However, I've experienced multiple issues with the platform and support staff. When I first started, I was mistakenly charged a $30 copay instead of $15 for several appointments. After calling multiple times, I was told to email one of their staff. I never received a response to my email or subsequent follow-ups. A year later, I'm still not sure if I was reimbursed. In addition, the platform has failed during 2-3 of my appointments. While I understand that tech issues happen - and that's okay - if the appointment is cut short because of those issues, the cost should be adjusted accordingly.
