In the four months I worked with Deziree, there was a lack of testing that was done to fully understand what was going on. I value data and testing, and unfortunately Deziree provided very little in this and worked heavily on my symptoms only. Personally, I believe this is negligent as while symptoms are very valuable and important to consider, many symptoms overlap and testing gives you a clearer picture. In the four months of working with her, we made negligible progress and I had little to no answers for the main concerns I had. The testing we did was minimal and done inefficiently, in my opinion. I ended up severing our relationship and have found the answers I was looking for from a different functional provider in Southern Maine. To put inefficiency into perspective, from the time of sign up to my first meeting with Deziree (two months later) she only completed labs (which wasn’t chosen by her but a general women’s panel Rupa Health offers). While with my current provider from the time of sign up to my first meeting with them (one month later) we completed comprehensive labs based off my symptoms and four different functional tests. We started working on everything as a whole. I learned that the protocol Deziree had me on was not suffice to even begin supporting my body to heal as she was completely off the mark- which explains why those months were long and drawn out with little progress. If I had continued with Deziree, I likely would have continued to get worse. Her program structure could use some refinement. From the moment I signed on as a new patient (was unable to speak to her directly to see if we were a good fit and was screened by her secretary, Jen) to actually meeting and speaking with her, it was three months, which is a lot of wasted time when someone is hoping and looking for these answers, and to ultimately feel better. In my program it was set up to be that I met with Deziree every two months and in between I would meet with her RN, Karen, for nutritional guidance. In my first meeting with her RN I came away with little advice other than drink more water, which speaks volumes in itself. I overall did not feel confident in the oversight and ‘expertise’ that Deziree and her practice provided. I was very open and honest with Deziree as the months progressed and she took my open and honest feedback well. This is not always the case with providers and I do want to mention this as it says a lot, positively, about her character. I also do want to mention and be transparent that as I communicated my intentions of severing the relationship, why, along with my intentions of leaving this review that she was fair to refund me half of the program cost I paid for upfront. All to say, I hope this review and what I’ve learned through this experience helps push people do their research and advocate for their health and themselves. She may be a good fit for some, but not for all.

I have been seeing Deziree for 2 yrs now and it has been life changing. My Hashimoto's Disease is stable, my hormones are balancing out and I haven't felt this good in a very long time. She listens, you feel heard and you work together for a plan that fits your needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Synergy! I have been with them for a little over a year and for the first time in a decade my health is back on track! I have seen every specialist there is and struggled with PCOS and multiple other medical issues until I found Deziree! I would highly recommend this practice!!
