When I could not get an appointment with a prior orthopedic surgeon who had taken care of one of my knees, I asked for several recommendations in order to make an informed decision. I was told that the surgeon I wanted to seek out was Dr. Robert Duerr at Mercy South. No other surgeon was recommended . Now I know why. My experience with Dr. Duerr and his staff was great. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and attention to detail made me feel comfortable enough to schedule surgery on March 1st. Dr. Duerr spoke to me the same morning prior to surgery. All questions were answered, all details filled in. I highly recommend Dr. Duerr and his clinical staff to anyone who is looking for a top notch team. Well done doc!

Dr Duerr is a really GREAT doctor! He really spent a good amount of time with me during my visit and he explained everything to me in ways that we’re totally understandable. I decided to have him do my rotator cuff tendon repair and biceps tendon repair surgery. He was the best! I am so very happy I chose him to do my surgery. I am healing well and I have minimal scars. I highly recommend him if you need shoulder surgery!!!

Dr. Duerr performed surgery on my left knee to repair a root medial meniscus tear in Nov, 2021. I met with him a few times before the surgery and he explained the procedure, listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. He was very knowledable and caring and after surgery, continued to follow up with my progress. I am back to my regular activites and I am very thankful to Dr. Duerr. I highly recommend him!
