About this clinic

Blue Ridge Pain Management, a regenerative pain-management clinic in Laurens, North Carolina, specializes in platelet-rich plasma therapy for musculoskeletal and joint conditions. PRP treatment is used to address chronic pain from arthritis, back pain, neck pain, knee pain, hip pain, and joint pain, supporting tissue repair through the clinic's own concentrated blood platelets. The approach emphasizes individualized evaluation and injection-based regenerative care rather than pharmaceutical or surgical intervention. The practice focuses on patients seeking alternatives to conventional pain management for conditions that may benefit from orthobiologic support.

I've had a great experience with Blue Ridge over the past 5 years. We have built a strong relationship with the staff and Dr. Buzzanell, helping me live a better quality of life, not just with medications and procedures but also physical therapy. They ask questions to make sure what they did was effective. It's definitely a place I recommend to friends and family.

I had an appointment the Monday after the ice storm which they TEXTED and said THEY NEEDED to reschedule. Ok, I said I would be AVAILABLE THAT WEDNESDAY AT 9:30. THEY CONFIRMED THIS APPOINTMENT. I arrive Wednesday at 9am (after rearranging my schedule) and the receptionist told me that my appointment was for the day before, TUESDAY. Um, sorry no. First of all I’m in class until 3pm EVERY TUESDAY so I would have NEVER AGREED to that appointment. Frustrated- because not once did she apologize or even admit that THEY WERE IN THE wrong, I made another appointment for the next day. I returned to my car, and searched for the text message that said “I CAN DO WEDNESDAY (today) at 9:30AM!! AND IT WAS CONFIRMED BY THEM!! I took this text back inside and showed the same receptionist and STILL NO APOLOGY, NO LET ME SEE WHAT I CAN DO, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! So, I had to answer for THEIR MISTAKE, take time out of my day, and NEVER ONCE GOT AN APOLOGY! This was ENTIRELY their fault, yet I was the one that had to pay for it. My next appointment is next week… I couldn’t do the next day because I HAD A CANCER TREATMENT APPOINTMENT. I’m going to see how that appointment goes next week before I move forward. As an ABSN student about to graduate, with 23 years of working medical experience- I know how things should go- ESPECIALLY PROFESSIONALLY. The reception I dealt with should have at the VERY LEAST APOLOGIZED and at least TRIED to rectify THEIR MISTAKE.

Dr Buzzanell has been providing excellent care for my pain issues for years. He is sharp and communicative, does excellent work and really cares about his patients. He also helped me work through some more serious medical issues. The staff are friendly and professional. He came highly recommended by my PCP, and I would recommend him as well.
