About this clinic

Center for Life Management, located in Boston, specializes in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. TMS is a non-invasive neuromodulation therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate brain activity associated with mood regulation, offering an alternative for patients who have not responded adequately to medication alone or who prefer to avoid pharmaceutical side effects. Treatment protocols typically involve multiple sessions over several weeks, with sessions conducted in an outpatient setting. The clinic positions TMS within a broader mental-health context, recognizing that psychiatric symptoms affect multiple domains of functioning and daily life. Patients interested in exploring TMS as

I will never ever get a therapist office at CLM… My daughter‘s been going there for about four different times now not long… Our insurance will only cover 20 visits… My father recently passed away in the middle of December. There was a lot of chaos going on… My daughter had scheduled an appointment for us to do in February… I’ve gotten a courtesy phone call for every single appointment reminding me of the appointment… This appointment I did not get did I write the appointment down no because I was in the hospital while my father was passing away… I missed my appointment… Because I didn’t know when it was… We tried three times to call and cancel the appointment and or change it because we couldn’t remember when it was we got the runaround on several different voicemails and nobody ever called us back… They called me to tell me that I was missing my appointment… When I tried to tell them that unfortunately my other daughter was home with a fever of 101 I couldn’t make it in… Then they started telling me that I owed them $50 for the missed appointment that I never knew that I had to pay if I missed appointment, which obviously I understand… The therapy is for my daughter not for me. I was going in just so she could tell me what had been happening throughout the last few appointments my daughter had been going to not a real therapy appointment if you want my honest opinion… Now I’m getting charged $50 and my daughter can no longer have an appointment until I pay that $50 which I am not paying. Then they gave me the runaround and argued with me over and over again about the fact that it’s a common courtesy to make a phone call and it’s my fault that I missed the appointment that I was unaware of lol… Then I owe them money because they didn’t bother to give me a common courtesy phone call to remind me of the appointment, but every single voicemail I still have is saved on my phone for the last appointments that they did call me for but this one they decided not to not OK… I will never go back to CLM for anything as long as I don’t have to… I do not recommend Ashley Ferms office. My daughter’s also had four different appointments with them, and then she decided to tell me after I told her about this issue she doesn’t think the ladies doing anything for her anyways…

I highly advise against using any services from this facility. If you're thinking about finding help here, please make note of the sheer number of negative reviews from others who have sought treatment. The lack of care for patients' wellbeing and safety, especially from the therapists, is appalling. Sparing much of the details, my mental health was put in jeopardy before I ended up having to seek help elsewhere. My case was neglected during a very stressful part of my life. When my physical safety was on the line because of domestic violence, I was not only not given adequate support or access to resources but I was further hurt by the incompetence of my former therapist and her inability to thoughtfully handle the situation. When I was finally able to find care elsewhere, my former therapist also refused to share any information with my current one even though I signed all the paperwork correctly and my past psychiatrist from the same facility had no issue connecting with him. The only reason I could see to use a larger facility like this is the idea that all of the mental health services are connected under one agency, but they don't even correctly operate as a streamlined association. The bureaucracy of their operations does more harm than good. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere if you need assistance.

I waited 3 months for my daughter to be seen. Finally got an appointment. The time they confirmed with a text was all wrong. I called to confirm and turns out they scheduled us in the Derry location, not Salem. I was 5 minutes late due very poor driving conditions and a 40+ minute drive. The clinician refused to see us. Very upsetting to see her walking out early meanwhile my daughter didn’t get the care she deserved. I will not be going back.
