Dr. Menkin is amazing! My mom and I came in with serious pain (my knee and her back), and he truly helped us. He reviewed our MRIs, explained everything clearly, and knew exactly what to do. I’m already feeling better after the gel injection, and my mom felt relief right after the nerve block. We are so grateful to Dr. Menkin and his kind staff!!!❤️

This practice is amazing ! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Jenny by far the heart of the office. Well organized professional and you never have to worry about anything. From referrals to pre-authorizations , appointments anything you need she handles it and quickly. Always returns your calls and always has any paperwork you need ready and waiting. It’s a breath of fresh air to have a medical office that still puts the patients needs first! I highly recommend the doctors in this practice, they listen and they create a care plan that fits the individual patient needs.

Part one: I wrote an unforgivable review under Patient Experience below that I cannot delete but must be explained and resubmitted immediately as I should have removed it years ago or better yet, I should have never posted such a terrible review of the absolute best and most caring and competent physician I’ve ever had during my 17 year old ordeal with a severe spinal injury. I had gotten very frustrated and sadly took this out on Dr. Menkin which is unforgivable on my behalf. So please allow me to rectify this immediately because Google Reviews are a powerful source of information for the public and the facts must be honest. My frustration was with my insurance company who denied my surgery for more than two years which was cruel and only endangered my spine as it needed a 15 hour long spinal reconstruction surgery that was waiting to be performed at JFK where Doctor Menkin found me a specialist who could repair my spine, a surgery that I had so much fear and trepidation to because another incompetent pain management doctor told me it could paralyze me abs I’d be better off taking medics for the rest of my life! Who on earth would want to be on medication their entire lives rather than getting a successful surgery that could heal them? Doctor Menkin eased my anxiety and located me to one and only specialist in New Jersey who was even capable of this treatment which required several spinal fusions and the team actually sewed my spine together once it was fused completely repairing the advanced and severe scoliosis that was a result of a horrific fall in a concrete porch. I was visually disfigured and in so much pain I couldn’t think straight for 17 years and the insurance kept repeatedly denying my surgery despite the ongoing persistence from both Doctors Menkin and Dr. Conti my surgeon who are both colleagues. I wrote a terrible inaccurate review of Dr. Menkin when the truth was that I was in unbearable pain and unable to procure the surgery for two years. I’m happy to say that Doctor Menkin Never gave up on me! He forgave me for the terrible review and understood it was misdirected anger and frustration with the endless delays for the surgery due to my insurance Horizon, and due to the fact that I needed more medication that he would not give me because the epic pain was absolutely unmanageable. Also the surgery was a Complete success and went the way exactly as doctor Menkin told me about, again easing my anxiety and duress. Now my spine is straight and I am completely out of back pain forever! But I have an old and very painful knee injury from a sports injury and before I even saw the orthopedic surgeon who is performing the surgery Doctor Menkin assessed my swollen excruciating knee and told me that most likely the meniscus was the cause and the cartridge was most likely worn down causing me horrific pain and arthritis. He was absolutely correct! This is exactly what my MRI revealed! I’m walking around nine in bone with an epic tear in the meniscus which is extremely painful. Unfortunately while awaiting the surgery I had a fall due to my condition called Drop Foot a neurological condition most likely caused by Lyme disease because I never had any such condition before until very sick with Lyme disease and trying to manage an entire host of heinous symptoms that were undiagnosed for decades until I finally got diagnosed in 2019 when I got reinfected with another Lyme tick. This is when I was at my worst and luckily found doctor Menkin who I credit with saving my life. His ample knowledge of the disease as it being an autoimmune disease and his thorough understanding of its many physical and neuropsychiatric symptoms helped me to get the right treatment and he stayed with me for six years now until I beat the disease and am now in remission which I never thought possible after being bedridden with the spinal injury for four years, four very long years that made my life seem unworthy of living even though I am a vibrant, vivacious, well adjusted and highly competent woman!
