I highly recommend Dr. Robert Hedaya. He is incredibly intelligent, thorough, caring, and sensible. He strives to find the best and most effective therapies for each individual patient, and the depth of his knowledge is remarkable. Functional psychiatrists are few and far between, and my husband and I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Hedaya to work with our son. I am learning an immense amount about mental health root causes, and health in general, from the experience. He is with you all the way!

Desperate for treatment, Dr. Hedaya and his amazing team have done what many said could likely never be. Our story is an astonishing one built against all the odds and every exception you could think of. To respect my wife's medical privacy, suffice to say she is one who was once an incredibly fit, healthy, happy and disciplined woman, wife, mother and caring person. She quite smoking almost two decades ago, ate organic, exercised daily for decades, slept right and lived a balanced life. She was everyone's inspiration for being healthy and vibrant. Unexpectedly, tragedy struck and fast forward past 5 ischemic strokes and a hemorrhagic stroke all within 25 days and you have a woman who is beat up, left with lifelong challenges, very little hope and felling defeated while also in significant pain and unable to communicate...at all. The doctors set the expectation to arrange palliative care...my wife's body and mind had other plans. Every form of therapy was run through. Comprhensive 30-day inpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy. Outpatient therapy for months. Ongoing speech therapy with the most challenging case of Aphasia seemingly possible. We tried peri spinal Etanercept injections.... with minimal to no long-term response. We kept with physical activity and ongoing speech therapy but the needle was moving very slowly. If detectable. We both felt desperate to try something...anything. My unwavering research found Dr. Hedaya and his HYLANE program on YouTube. From the instant I dove into his approach the science made sense to me. Skeptical still, yes.... but hopeful...indeed. After reaching out to Dr. Hedaya for an initial consultation...I was convinced this is the right course of action. After meeting with Dr. Hedaya for the first step of a routine assessment, we all left feeling there is hope to help my wife begin to really heal. My wife committed to the 6-week HYLANE program. It is not easy, it takes work, organizational skills, intensive sample testing all in the name of functional medicine. It was difficult but we could see the method and why it was worth it. We found some very surprising conclusions from the tests that have never been looked at before. Skepticism beginning to fade. We rented a house and a can and booked in for the 6 week program. The first couple of weeks went by with not much noticeable change. Then, week 4, and that is when things really changed for the better. We witnessed some pretty incredible advancements. My wife's demeanor improved, her energy, her ability to concentrate and the big one...she has begun to find words better, form longer sentences and built more complex verbal expressions together. The foundation has improved significantly with the combination of functional medicine (I found this to be the hardest part to work through but so worth it), Hyperbaric Oxygen, Laser Therapy and Neuro Feedback. While we did experience a temporary setback which was unforeseeable and limiting the recovery process, Dr. Hedaya convinced us that my wife will bounce back and she has, exactly as Dr. Hedaya said she would. We have 2 1/5 more weeks left in the program. We extended 3 additional weeks past the initial program timeline to continue treatments at my wife's request. She feels so much better...and honestly doesn't want to leave at all. If we had the means, we would stay longer. Dr. Hedaya knows what he is doing. My wife's situation was dire and extreme, and he is the only one that has been able to move the needle on improving my wife's status and abilities. If you or a loved one has experienced a stroke (or several) there is hope with Dr. Hedaya. He is not the only one offering this type of therapy, but his personal style, true concern, deep thinking, data driven analysis and motivational approach is EXACTLY what my wife needed. Investigate it.... find the money....and make it happen.
