Caveat emptor!
I should’ve known better than to pay for a product before I’d spoken with a company representative/intake counselor, but that’s how this company operates.
I paid almost $800 to schedule my intake assessment/place my order. After my intake, I felt a clinical setting was the better option. The support during treatment seemed iffy at best, non-existent at worst, so I asked to cancel my order and get a refund.
No problem.
Except they kept nearly 50% of the almost $800 to cover the very surface, 30 minute intake session. What “therapist” charges $800 an hour?
I’d recommend going through Innerwell for ketamine therapy ONLY IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that home-based therapy is the right option for you.

I feel so conflicted about this company. I have had some really good experiences with the medication, I have enjoyed the box of items that come with the first dosages. I also like the playlists they offer and the check ins through the app. I have had some real success, since starting.
What I am beyond disappointed with, and why I don't plan to continue with this company is their billing. I initially signed up for the eight sessions and paid a lump sum. My deductible hadn't been met yet, so I figured I'd ended up paying some additional fees. When reading the information about billing, I came across something that suggested they would automatically charge your credit card if additional payments were required. I reached out to customer service, because I am not comfortable with that, and I was told by customer service that Innerwell would not take money out of my credit card without notice or my approval. Well, that was not true. About a month after my first appointment, Innerwell charged almost $300 to my credit card. I reached out to customer service. They apologized that I was initially told the wrong information, and that their normal way of doing business is to charge you, as soon as they hear from your insurance company. There is no notification, no email even saying you were charged. Just a charge to your credit card. They even refer to it as your insurance billed you and never say they charged you. It is that you were billed.
I asked customer service if I could just receive some type of notification before charging, so I coukd be prepared. After a long process of customer service saying they were looking into it, nothing happened. After that, I was charged again with no notification. Customer service seems like they want to figure something out for you, but it is clear this is just how this company chooses to do business.
If you are comfortable with being charged with no knowledge, then this program may be for you. If you are not comfortable with that (and you have a deductible), just know there is no way around it. There is no billing, only charging. No notification before or after either. It feels unethical to me.
I plan on continue ketamine therapy in the future, but I don't see it being with Innerwell. It ends up being so expensive and you cannot properly plan for expenses, which adds unnecessary stress.
I have never had a medical company charge me without my approval. I think they should look at your insurance and just have you pay everything up front or roll the additional charges into a payment plan. This whole charging part has been beyond frustrating. It feels wrong. It is too bad, because my experiences with the actual medication has been great.
I was hesitant given the cost, having not had relief from anxiety symptoms with other medications in the past. The ketamine experience itself leaves something to be desired, in my opinion. But the after effects seem as advertised. Innerwell's treatment plan has offered a near immediate reprieve from anxiety symptoms. And it is my hope the treatment's effects will be lasting. If I were ever to repeat treatment, I believe I would incorporate the add-on therapy sessions.
I’ve done one round of Spravato in a clinic and then needed to switch to an online provider. I picked Innerwell and I’m really glad I did. I was hesitant and didn’t know what to expect, but did a lot of research. I had high expectations before I trusted someone with my money and my mental health. I didn’t notice any gaps in communication or payment or information or medication delivery. It’s expensive if you don’t have insurance, but I don’t think insurance pays for it anyways. I’m signing up for a second round because it works really well after a lifetime of depression and PTSD. The woman I’ve been working with has been amazing and she is leaving. If the next practitioner is not as warm and authentic as she is, I might reconsider my choice. Our Zoom calls are what made the difference. The delivery and quality of the medication is great.

I’ve been using ketamine therapy since 2021, and Innerwell was not my first platform. I will honestly say that the first Practitioner I was paired with fell short a bit, rescheduling appointments regularly, etc. Although, I never experienced any issues with meds not coming. My practitioner now is super helpful and informative. I’ve gone through an extended plan, and now heading into continuing treatment through them. I know these treatments are not for everyone so its
Good to keep an open mind but I’ve found success with my depressive and PTSD symptoms. It’s not a cure, but its a powerful tool for the toolbox
