Before starting hormone therapy, I was struggling daily with bladder pressure, frequency, and urgency. It was uncomfortable and disruptive, and I felt frustrated not knowing why it was happening. At the same time, I was hesitant about hormone therapy because I had always been under the impression that it wasn’t safe.
What changed for me was how thorough Dr. Troutman was. She explained the risks and benefits clearly, used examples, spoke in layman’s terms, and truly met me where I was. I never felt rushed. I felt educated.
Since starting therapy, I’ve experienced noticeable relief in my bladder symptoms. They aren’t completely gone, but they are improved—and more importantly, I don’t feel alone in figuring this out. Dr. Troutman continues to research, send resources, share options, and help me build more tools in my toolbox. She is thoughtful, dedicated, and deeply invested in getting to the root cause.
Today, I feel hopeful. I have a doctor who is committed to leaving no stone unturned, and that partnership has made all the difference.

Before starting MHT with Midlife reMDy, my biggest struggles were sleep and anxiety. I was exhausted from waking up around 3 a.m. night after night, and the constant anxious feeling made everything harder—work, decision-making, and just feeling like myself. I also had real concerns about safety, especially the cancer risk I’d heard about, and I’m naturally cautious about starting any new medication.
What helped me move forward was trusting that I was in the hands of a true menopause expert. Case’s knowledge of perimenopause and menopause made a difference, and I felt supported in making an informed, thoughtful decision—not pressured. Since starting MHT, my sleep has improved dramatically. I’m no longer waking up at 3 a.m. every night, and my anxiety has eased as well. The biggest change is the steady reassurance of knowing I can sleep again—and knowing I have an expert I can turn to as needed. I would recommend this care to any woman over 35. Supporting your hormonal health early is essential for long-term well-being.

After feeling dismissed by other doctor who relied on outdated information, finding Dr. Troutman was a game changer! It’s very rare to find a Doctor who understands the complexities of perimenopause and doesn’t just shrug off the symptoms. She provided evidence based treatments that actually worked while explaining and educating me on my specific symptoms and approaches to treatment. If you’ve felt ignored regarding perimenopause and hormonal health, Dr. Troutman is a true advocate for women’s health!! I highly recommend her and I’m so grateful for what she has dedicated her time and studies too. Thank you!!!

Dr. Troutman is knowledgeable, caring, and an advocate for women’s health and well-being through perimenopause and beyond. Her practice of HRT is current, research-based and unique in central Pennsylvania. My mind and body seemed to be falling apart and none of my other physicians offered any solutions nor had expertise with HRT. Dr. Troutman’s treatment has given me my life back!

I came to Midlife reMDy because perimenopause/menopause was starting to affect my quality of life—weight gain (especially around my middle), a complete drop in libido, and vaginal dryness that just made me feel unlike myself. I was also nervous about hormone therapy because I had always heard it was linked to breast cancer, so I didn’t want to make a rushed decision.
What made the difference was how Case walked me through the evidence in a clear, respectful way. I never felt pressured—just informed and supported, like we were making the decision together based on my symptoms and my goals.
Since starting MHT, my mood is noticeably better, my libido has improved, and I’ve seen a reduction in that “tummy pouch” that wouldn’t budge before. More than anything, I feel like myself again—more comfortable in my body and much more confident day to day. I would recommend this care to any middle-aged woman dealing with the mental and physical symptoms of menopause who wants personalized, science-based guidance and ongoing monitoring.
