About this clinic
Coastal Neurology, based in Beaufort, provides IV Therapy alongside diagnostic and therapeutic care for neurological conditions. The practice focuses on supporting patients with neurological presentations through integrative approaches that combine conventional neurology with supportive modalities. IV therapy protocols may include nutrient infusions and targeted micronutrient support, which practitioners use to complement standard neurological treatment. The clinic evaluates each patient's condition through comprehensive diagnostics and individualizes treatment plans accordingly. While specific neurological specialties are not detailed in available materials, the practice positions itself as offering both conventional neurological expertise and supplementary supportive-medicine options for patients seeking integrated care for neurological health.
My mother is a patient of Coastal Neurology and I feel like my family hit the medical lottery when we found this team of amazing people. This office is truly special. They have helped us through the diagnosis and treatment options for my mother’s Alzheimer’s and I could not be more grateful for everyone there. Dr. Clark has been amazing - explaining everything so clearly and in perfect detail, patiently answering all my (redundant) questions along the way. And Hope has been my “go to” person in the office, helping with literally everything throughout the process. She has shown a level of kindness that is rarely seen in medicine these days. I cannot say enough good things about this office - they truly are angels on the ground.

Dr Mazzeo was excellent in listening, diagnosing, and explaining my MRI results in detail. He offered his professionsl insight and thoughtful suggestions and went beyond my expectations. The staff was courteous, efficient and helpful. .My experience at Coastal Neurology in Okatie was excellent!!

I will be amazed if the owner of this place actually responds. My wife was a long time patient of Dr. Mazzeo. We had no issues for years until the staff screwed up their own billing and claimed we owed 400+. Not only did they screw up the primary insurance billing, they absolutely couldn't figure out how to bill the secondary. Because of their incompetent billing staff, not only do they still claim we owe they stopped my wife's prescriptions and the critical infusions that she was getting because we challenged their business practices. The one thing that would drastically improve this place overall would be the immediate firing of their office manager. I literally have two great insurances that pays for the whole bill, but despite telling them to actually submit the claim this office manager is just to lazy to do it. I'm surprised this place hasn't been sued yet for they way they are treating patients. It's disgraceful. We have friends that are also doctors that have said they have never heard of of a practice being this vindictive. Apparently this place has become infamous for billing issues and the doctors that employ the billing staff do not seem to care. My wife is a patient of Mazzeo and had only seen this person once in an entire year. Every other appointment, nurse practitioner. Find someone else if you are having migraine issues, this place doesn't seem to know what it's doing.

Do. Not. Go. Here.
Worst experience at a medical practice. Ever. Scheduling was difficult. Had to leave message and then call back when no one returned my call. Arrival in waiting room was very unfriendly. Signs are posted that are not very patient friendly. (See photo) Receptionists keep frosted sliding door closed and patients need to knock on window for service. Paperwork was unprofessional.
Was told I would receive my test results “in 3-5 days”. Was told I would be sent a link to patient portal to view my own results. No call and no link.
Started calling the office and left daily vm messages. No calls back. Finally drove (hour and a half round trip!) to the office in person. Knocked on the glass again and was able to get results—after being told they are short staffed and don’t have time to check vm messages.
Overall this office needs help—in how to welcome and treat patients. Use another neurology practice unless you enjoy being frustrated!

I have called to make an appointment. Call went to voicemail and no return call received. As I live here in Beaufort and have transportation issues, it would be much easier to be seen here than to have to go to Bluffton. I believe that I will have to make that adjustment though to get the medical care that is needed. Likewise, I find it ludicrous that this practice will not see paients at Beaufort Memorial.
Also, in reading through the reviews, I noticed that the only reviews that are responded to, are the positive reviews. Perhaps the owner, management and staff should take a look at the reviews and make the necessary adjustments.
