About this clinic

Trident Pain Center, located in Columbia, offers ketamine therapy and platelet-rich plasma injections for chronic pain and treatment-resistant conditions. Ketamine therapy is used to address pain syndromes that have not responded adequately to conventional pharmaceutical management, while PRP targets musculoskeletal and joint-related pain through regenerative mechanisms. The clinic combines these two modalities within a patient-centered approach, positioning itself as an alternative or adjunct to standard pain-management protocols. Treatment plans are individualized following an initial consultation. The practice emphasizes both acute symptom relief and support for longer-term functional restoration, serving patients who seek regenerative o

I will be extremely transparent with this review. If I can submit a 0 as a rating I would. I must say, I have never heard or seen a doctor's office that has a front staff talking very poorly about their patients while picking up the phones/placing on hold or in person while patients are in the waiting room. The female that does patient check in named Kiara is extremely rude to patients over the phone and when patients are walking away from checking in, you can hear the 2 front desk girls gossiping about the patient that is currently on hold or a patient walking away after check in. Unprofessional and unacceptable. I have been a patient for over 4 years and I have never seen the check in lady with a smile when coming in. No need to get disrespectful with patients on the phone nor in person especially when they are asking a question pertaining to your job, and you are talking loudly to the point where the entire waiting room can hear the conversation. Every appointment I have had over the years, all I hear while sitting in the waiting room is the front desk complaining about a patient that is on the phone or a patient that is currently in the office. That is extremely unprofessional and a lack of empathy to patients. The one female that is in check in should not even be in the health field to begin with, there is no patient care in her. You can check patients in all day, but at least show that you want to be at work and be courteous to pstients. At times I do not even feel comfortable even calling because from the first pick up by that female check in lady Kiara, the beginning of the conversation she already starts with a bad attitude. Us patients call in extreme pain and agony, we do not need the staff to an office that our insurance pays thousands of dollars to, for an employee to be the way she is towards patients. Patients are coming in with extreme pain and a lack of life, and that is enough for us old folks, we do not need to hassle with the staff of an office/business establishment and make is feel more miserable. If you do not have the mindset nor the attitude to be in the medical field, especially in pain management where people are already suffering on a daily basis, leave the job. Leave the Healthcare field entirely, it is not for you. My cousin is also a patient and also has the same experience. Do not make it miserable for us patients. If you do not like or appreciate the work you do find another job. If I did not love my provider so much, I would have went to another pain management office, but at this point I may want to find another pain management office. So many times I have let things slide with this office for over 4 years now with prior authorizations not being done on time, medications not being sent the day of, nurse line not responding. Cannot even speak to your provider if wanted. I adore Dr. A, but some things need to change.

Negligent, unethical, and dangerous. 0 stars This pain management office abandoned me as a patient and put my health at serious risk. They failed to submit a required insurance appeal, forcing me to pay over $400 out of pocket, then ignored both me and my insurance for weeks. I was issued a first and only warning because one medication was not in my system—after I responsibly informed them I had just been diagnosed with ADHD and was placed on new medication and did not want to mix prescriptions without knowing side effects. For being cautious and honest, I was wrongfully discharged. They left me without critical medication for three weeks, refused to bridge or provide alternatives, yet still charged me a “convenience fee.” They claimed I “wasn’t a patient,” despite the fact that I was an active patient on 1/13 and this was said same week when alternative medication was supposed to be sent. Cutting off a patient’s medication without continuity of care is reckless and dangerous and could have resulted in serious medical harm. Their negligence, lack of communication, and disregard for patient safety is alarming. I have been a patient for close to 2 years and never not once did I ever get a warning, or anything wrong doing. You were lazy to not do an appeal on my behalf for my medication, left me without my extended release for 3 weeks until I paid over $400 for this medication THAT WAS SENT 3 WEEKS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, on a credit card just to hold me over. 3 weeks you had left me without my medication and that is fatal. You are charging convenience fees for nothing if insurance pays for your staff to schedule appointments. We should not have to be paying for your staff to do what their literal job is, scheduling. People insurance pays you thousands of dollars for this to be taken care of. What company charges patients/clients anyone a fee for doing what they are supposed to do? Medications and procedures ALWAYS will need authorizations, so instead of paying your staff, you have us patients pay for your staff while pocketing insurance money. Make that make sense, please. I am requesting my "convenience fee" money back because you guys did not schedule, do any authorization when my insurance had asked you to submit an appeal, the $15 goes to the authorizations right? So why did you not submit an appeal for my medication when I HAD PAID you to do so with the fee. Legal action will be pursued for wrongful termination. Being in the Healthcare field myself for over 15 years helping over 450 chronic patients a month, this is not caring for patients. This is extremely dangerous. You do not care about patients. I needed knee surgery and you did not even give me any direction on what to do or whom to go to for surgery when I have been asking for months on end. Avoid this place if you value your health.

My mom goes there and they have always been good to her until today. She was told her medicine was being sent to the pharmacy on Wednesday but it didn't happen. I have called them and left 4 messages over three days and have not gotten a hold of one person and they still haven't sent her medicine to the pharmacy that she desperately need to relieve her pain to be able to work. I never even got a call back from them to let me know what was going on . I'm still waiting for a call and now it's the weekend and my mom's in pain with none of her pain medicine because they lied and don't do what they say they are going to do and you can not even get a hold of a actual human!!
