I first went to Charleston Hormone a few years ago (whenever they were in their previous location). At the time, I took a blood test and trusted what was being told to me in the session that followed; which didn't give me the most thorough information. Due to that, I didn't understand the severity of my blood work at the time and ended up venturing off into what else was going on, which led me back to needing a hormone panel. Now, in their new location, I came back to Charleston Hormone hoping to be seen and heard after also having gathered my own information over time; I was way more educated about hormones than I was before. Once again, my blood work review wasn't as thorough as my own research. Due to still not feeling well, I called and asked to try different dosages of the medications that were given to me and instead, I ended up paying over 100.00 for their time, just to be told "no"; which they knew before I arrived for that appointment what their answer was going to be. I felt like I paid for wasted time, more confusion and not being heard; which is an uncomfortable feeling, especially being a woman of color. Due to my own research/keeping the fight going for myself, my blood work is currently saving my life with perimenopause being a possible answer + finding better help. If you want to be seen and understood by your hormone specialist and are a person of color especially, do not go to Charleston Hormone for help.

I have been seeing Soay and Alyssa and they are both thorough and really easy to talk to. I have started taking peptides, vitamins, and doing HRT, and I feel a million times better. CHS Hormone is truly wonderful.
