All of the staff that I have encountered there so far have been very friendly and professional. I appreciated the time that Cynthia took with me in getting me registered as a new patient and in getting me checked out and coordinating my next steps. Misty and Susan were both pleasant & helpful as my vitals were taken and I was shown to a room. And then, of course, it was absolutely wonderful to sit and talk with with a doctor (Dr. Dubose in this case) that lets you know he genuinely cares about you and your health. No being rushed in and out or feeling like any of your concerns were being dismissed, brushed off, or swept under the rug. It was nice to be able to go down a whole list of issues and not be cut off after discussing just one of them due to "being out of time" like I've experienced at other offices. He listened intently giving his full undivided attention and responded appropriately, intelligently and compassionately, with questions peppered in as needed. It's necessary to me, as the patient, to feel that I am important to my doctor, and he knocked it out of the park! There was a wait list to become a patient there, but it was definitely worth the wait for me. It is not your cheapest option around, but you mostly get what you pay for in life, and for me at this stage of my life, I believe it will be worth it! Dr. Dubose was very mindful about the cost of testing and treatments and was committed to not breaking the bank while still creating an effective plan of action. I also appreciated the fact that the visit notes were sent to me via the patient portal by him. That complete transparency will go far in assisting communication for the treatment plan. You can also tell that they work hard to keep up to date on new and innovative treatments that are out there to help their patients. So you get the old school black bag kind of doc feel but with the assurance that they're keeping up with the times. I look forward to meeting the rest of the staff and my continued visits there!

My appointment was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Shook took time to explain things in a way that I understood. He is determined to find out what’s going on with my issues. So thankful that I was able to become a part of this practice.

Dr. Mayes DuBose is caring, knowledgeable, and courteous in dealing with patients. He is well suited for elder care as an independent practitioner. One never feels “rushed” when in his presence. It is reassuring to be able to contact Dr. DuBose at any time. If your case requires a medical specialist, Dr. DuBose knows whom to call.
