About this clinic

J. Michael Bennett, an orthopaedic surgeon in Austin, specializes in platelet-rich plasma therapy for musculoskeletal and joint conditions. PRP treatment harnesses concentrated platelets from a patient's own blood to support tissue repair and reduce inflammation in tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. The approach offers an alternative to corticosteroid injections and surgery for select cases of chronic pain, sports injuries, and degenerative joint disease. Patients are evaluated individually to determine candidacy for PRP, with treatment tailored to the specific injury or condition. The practice serves patients throughout the Austin and Bastrop areas seeking regenerative orthobiologic options alongside conventional orthopaedic care.

Easy and quick to schedule and get seen if you’re willing to travel to different office locations. Took X-rays and then saw dr. Bennett who did a consultation after reviewing X-rays. I was in and out in 30 minutes with my next steps to take. Pretty good! One down side, I kind of felt silly. Like I shouldn’t have come in. Mainly because Dr. Bennett was rolling his eyes throughout everything he said to me. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so maybe he just does it without noticing because he must repeat the same things every day. And my case is boring. But I felt a bit uncomfortable due to it and it made me feel like I shouldn’t have come in for something so “trivial”even if it causes me pain. For a Dr. to be rolling their eyes while speaking to a patient just seems a tad rude and uncomfortable but again, maybe he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. I’d still come back for a follow up if needed.

Having raced Motocross for most of my life I've come to know quite a few orthopedic Doctors. This knee that Dr Bennett worked on has has seen it's share of surgeries. This operation was to reattach my quad muscle and repair some more damage to my problem knee. His knowledge is second to none and he does a fantastic job keeping you calm and explaining the procedure. His staff is amazing and after the extensive work he did on my knee, I have no more pain after his work than I did before. Do yourself a favor and go see Dr Bennett!

Very prompt, polite and compassionate. Felt like my issues were addressed and treatment started. Would recommend from scheduling, front office, X-ray/ back office MA were all amazing and Dr Bennett has great bedside manner... oh and did I say he did a painless injection into my knee.
