Avoid this doctor!!!! I initially had a good experience with this doctor. At my first visit, he was polite, examined me, and recommended steroid injections for my back. I declined because I’m not comfortable with procedures in my spine. He also prescribed very expensive peptides, which I also refused. About a year later, I returned for frozen shoulder. Once again, he recommended a corticosteroid injection, this time in the shoulder, and suggested chiropractic/osteopathic manipulation. He told me his assistant would call within a few days to schedule the injection. Two weeks passed with no call and no referral. I contacted the office myself. Only then did the assistant call back and say the soonest injection appointment would be four weeks later, and that it would be not covered, requiring me to pay extra. I explained I would be out of town and asked for a faster option, or at minimum the referral for the chiropractor/osteopathic he had suggested so I could start treatment. At that point, the tone shifted. I was referred to PT instead, which in my experience often provides minimal hands-on care for frozen shoulder. More importantly, I felt my pain and the urgency of my situation were dismissed, especially once I mentioned I would contact my insurance to ask about reimbursement. I’m unfortunately used to rushed care in the U.S., but I have rarely experienced this level of poor communication and lack of basic courtesy from an office. I left feeling like the focus was on billing rather than helping me get timely care. I would not return, and I would not recommend this practice.

I highly recommend Dr. Dumitrescu. He is easy to talk to, very thorough in describing the anatomy of an injury, the treatment, and follow up recommendations. He's truly skillful at what he does and it is evident that he cares. His office staff, and Katie the PT are the perfect mix of friendly and professional. My treatment has helped me greatly and I am enjoying dancing again.

My mother was a patient of his. He didn't order films or an MRI although her pain did not subside. He did multiple procedures but they didn't help. My mother went to a new physician, they ordered an MRI. We just got the results, she had a hip fracture. Four months she has been in pain. We are very disappointed. Additionally, a walker was prescribed, but they never provided the written prescription so we could file for reimbursement. It was requested four times.
