My recent visit with Gabriel Petty at Westlake Sports Medicine, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment he entered the room, he made me feel heard, supported, and completely at ease. Gabriel took the time to walk me through a personalized diet, exercise and weight-loss plan, explaining everything clearly and making sure it was realistic for my lifestyle. What stands out the most is that the plan is already working, and I’m seeing results faster than I expected. I feel better than I have in a long time. Gabriel didn’t just send me on my way; he has consistently gone above and beyond by personally calling to check on my progress. He also sent supplemental medical documentation and training material to help facilitate my goals and help me understand the science behind his approach. His follow-ups show how much he truly cares about his patients’ success and well-being. He makes sure the plan is working effectively, asks thoughtful questions, and reminds me that I can reach out anytime if I have concerns. That level of attention and commitment is incredibly rare in healthcare today. I’m grateful for the experience and can’t recommend Gabriel Petty highly enough. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I have a recurring knee joint problem that I've visited other Austin orthopedic offices for, but Westlake Sports Medicine stands above the rest. Scheduling was a breeze, the appointment was right on time (no waiting +20mins in a crowded waiting room), and as soon as Gabriel entered the room I felt like I was being heard, and he was invested in my healing. He didn't rush through the consultation, and he offered choices for treatment with great bedside manner. Plus, a simple billing text post-visit got me out of there in no time. They took my insurance, but also have a cash-pay program that was super reasonable for those out of network. Luckily, Gabe was able to fix my swollen knee joint in the same appointment! Westlake Sports Medicine will be my first stop if I need Ortho help again.

Westlake Sports Medicine has been taking care of our family for over 20 years, and Gabe and Dr. Burns continue to set the bar for orthopedic care. They’re skilled, consistent, and genuinely care about their patients. Hard to find a team this good anywhere in the industry. Highly recommend.
