About this clinic
Empower Gynecology, a women's health clinic in Fort Worth, offers hormone replacement therapy under the direction of Dr. Ashita Gehlot, a board-certified gynecology specialist. The practice provides individualized HRT protocols for patients navigating menopause, perimenopause, and hormone-related symptoms, with treatment tailored following comprehensive evaluation. Radiofrequency ablation is available for selected gynecologic indications. The clinic emphasizes evidence-based care across women's health and takes an integrative approach to hormone optimization during midlife and beyond. Men's health services are also available. Patients receive ongoing monitoring and adjustment of protocols as needed throughout the course of treatment.
I recently had an appointment with Dr. Gehlot to discuss perimenopause symptoms/concerns related to my health and hoped to have a collaborative conversation about possible evaluation and next steps. As a Registered Nurse, I came prepared for visit and had already spent time learning about the topic through seminars, discussions, and personal study.
While the doctor briefly explained that hormone levels can fluctuate, the primary recommendation was for me to read Dr. Jen Gunter’s book and visit The Menopause Society website, then return to the office to discuss what I learned. At that point, I was told that possible options might be explored after reviewing those materials.
As a patient, I was expecting a more thorough discussion or guidance during the appointment itself. Being directed to read a book and return later for further conversation felt unusual for a medical consultation, especially after paying for the visit.
Patients generally seek professional insight, dialogue, and a clear plan when they schedule a medical appointment. I hope the practice continues to review patient feedback and strengthen patient-centered communication so that concerns can be addressed more directly during visits.
I would never recommend Dr.Gehlot to anyone!

I am extremely disappointed and upset after hearing what my mother experienced with this doctor. My mother may have a serious health concern, yet she now refuses to return for care because she is genuinely afraid of how she was treated. She told me that the doctor raised her voice (screamed) at her, dismissed her concerns, and made her feel small and unheard. No patient—especially someone already worried about their health—should ever walk away feeling intimidated or disrespected.
This kind of behavior doesn’t just hurt feelings; it delays care. It puts patients at risk. Since when did it become acceptable for a medical professional to make someone feel this uncomfortable in an environment that is supposed to be safe, supportive, and focused on healing? Doctors are entrusted with our health, and part of that responsibility is treating patients with dignity and empathy.
I even offered to accompany my mother to her appointments so I could witness this behavior myself and advocate for her, but she was so uncomfortable that she refused to ever see this doctor again. That alone speaks volumes.
Before you are a doctor, you are a human being, and you need to act like one. Only then do you become a good doctor. It genuinely feels as though the degree, the title, and the paycheck have taken priority over compassion, respect, and basic decency. It’s honestly sad that I even feel the need to explain this to you—something that should have been learned long before medical school, let alone in practice.
Patients deserve better. Respect is not optional in healthcare !!!

I used to like doc. Gelot, however I feel she became negligent overtime. She doesn’t reach out to the patient directly about bloodwork or urine samples. You’ll have to message her.. Hard to get in contact with her + she can be super condescending.

I switched OBGYN’s after my former doctor moved offices. I went to see Dr. Gehlot for an IUD removal. I had 2 other removals before without any issues. Dr. Gehlot had me make a consult appointment which I paid for after just seeing her for an annual, then she attempted to remove the IUD on a separate visit but was unable to locate it, so I made a 3rd appointment for ultrasound imaging, then a 4th for dilation without success. She told me I could leave it in there- except that i was planning to become pregnant, so I was scheduled for surgery. I am so thankful I got a second opinion because it turns out that I do not need surgery. I went back to my previous doctor who quickly and easily removed my IUD in one visit. I am not sure if Dr. Gehlot is out for my money or just inexperienced with IUD removals.. but I will not be back.
