I have been a patient at HerCare for almost 6 years. I loved having Biruke Derebe PA-C at the Southlake office. I felt she is one of the few doctors that have ever listened to me and truly cared about what I was going through and how I was feeling. I would truly love to have her at the HerKare Southlake office permitly.

This wasn’t a good fit for me. I have two lab tests I brought with me showing a pattern of high testosterone and low estrogen. Since I still get my period every 8 months or so, they will not treat my low estrogen. They seem to be better suited if you have low testosterone (they will supplement) or have been 12 months without a period (then they’ll treat low estrogen). Note that your first appointment — you need to fast and they’ll do blood tests. It will take 7 days for results and then they’ll discuss treatment. Nothing much happens in the first appointment. It doesn’t help to bring any lab tests, they will only use their own (that’s understandable, albeit frustrating). In my situation, there’s not much they can do for me. In my opinion, they have a conservative, limited approach to treatment. They are very nice, though! UPDATE: I used an online service called Midi, got an appointment within 24 hours, was able to meet before work so I didn’t have to take off, uploaded my lab tests, discussed them with the NP, and within 30 min in my first appointment, she sent estrogen and progesterone to my pharmacy. So if you’re struggling to find an in-person place, consider an online service. There are several options out there! UPDATE: They claim in their response they couldn't identify me by name. Please note that I scheduled an appointment under my name as listed in my profile and even left my lab results with them, knowing I would leave a review and they may go back to look. This kind of response is a tactic to add doubt to legitimate reviews.
