I’m surprised by the negative reviews here as that has not been my experience at all. I came here for relief from perimenopause symptoms. The doctor is so knowledgeable and caring. It’s only been a little over a week on my new routine and my symptoms are starting to ease up. Front desk always answers the phone right away, and even when they are busy they get back to me quickly. My meds are always available super fast. I love this doctor and office.

Use to see this Dr. But since she doesn't except Medicaid insurance anymore she won't see me I'm really hurt by this due to the fact I've had some on going health issues, & haven't had the mental strength to go to the doctors office for awhile!!! She is an absolute great doctor, & I have really bad lab coat syndrome, "as silly as that sounds" so I finally got the gumption to make an appointment after years of having a hard time due to my anxiety with going to any doctor, & they won't make appointments with medicaid insurance patients anymore! Rixt "WAS" one of my favorite doctor's because she knows my health history too! I don't do good with new doc offices!!! I'm so sorry but I don't understand why she won't except me when she did before! I have severe vertigo now still don't know where it is coming from went, & made many other appointments can't find out what is causing it from the neurologist, & it's so hard having to go see new doctors to explain my history and then the on going stuff! So been to the Neurologist, & a cardiologist, & found out I have a heart mur-mur now, & that isn't what's causing the vertigo, w/ hyper nausea, & ringing in my ears. Now I have a weird rash all over my body, & it's worse behind my ears, & under my eyes, I'm sure I'm going through early menopause due to having a partial hysterectomy. I don't know what to do, I have to find a new doctor really don't want to! Well looking for a new doctor! Good luck to others!!! And even though I'm incredibly hurt by this I wish Good luck to Anna Rixt Luikenaar, & her family!

I scheduled an appointment with this office after having an ultrasound done at an outside clinic because there was a concern with my IUD. During my visit, I was told they would request the ultrasound records and follow up with me. I never heard anything back.
After a few months, I returned for another appointment and asked the doctor why I had never received any feedback. That’s when I found out they had sent the request to the wrong fax number and never followed up to confirm receipt. They apologized and said they would send another request.
Two weeks later, I checked in again and also messaged the doctor. I was then told they couldn’t obtain the records because they didn’t know the date of my ultrasound. I provided the date immediately. When I expressed that I was disappointed with the entire process, I was told that I would need to personally go to the clinic and retrieve the images myself.
What was most frustrating was being charged for two appointments without receiving any actual review or medical opinion regarding my ultrasound. When I questioned this, I was told that even if the doctor simply says “hi,” I would still be charged for the visit.
This experience felt disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional. Patients rely on their providers to coordinate care and follow through on requests, especially when there is a medical concern involved. I expected better communication and accountability.

I called this place to get an appointment after being referred by someone who had had a good experience.
I checked out the website, and filled out a contact form and was shortly contacted by someone from the office. I unfortunately was at work and was unable to answer, so I was left a message by someone named Cassandra, who was very sweet and informative.
I followed her instructions to make sure Dr. Luikinar was a doctor that worked with my insurance, (which they are.) and then I called back to make an appointment.
I’m not exactly sure who answered the phone to schedule me, but they were extremely short and hostile with me. They spoke to me like I was bothering them and like I was a nuisance for calling. They were extremely unprofessional and talked to me like I was stupid.
After my experience I was extremely taken aback. I looked up the reviews of this establishment and was not surprised by what I found after my experience.
I called back and promptly canceled my appointment and from what I have read I really dodged a bullet.
Something must be done about the front desk staff because the way I was treated as a new patient was unacceptable. If you are deterring patients even before they get in the door I don’t know how you expect to stay open.
I will be taking my business elsewhere. Especially since the world is already threatening enough against the trans communities. I don’t need anymore.
If I could give zero stars I would. And if I could go back in time and read the Google reviews I would have never booked the appt. The entire process of scheduling an appt was a nightmare to begin with. I found Dr Luikenaar on my insurance company’s website when looking for Drs for my daughter. I filled out the online appt request form but never heard back. It took multiple days of calling to get thru to someone, and when I did they downright rude with insurance interrogation questions. Then they told me I had to call my insurance to confirm coverage before they would even schedule me. After confirming she was in network with my insurance, I called back to schedule and the receptionist was still very rude. She was more concerned with getting my credit card info and telling me there was a $175 cancellation fee than asking relevant info for the actual appointment. Then after telling me I HAD to show up 20 min prior to our appt time, she did warn me the appt would take a while. She said to plan on being at the office for 2-3 hrs because the Dr likes to be thorough with her patients. However it was insincere because you don’t actually spend that time with the Dr, you spend it waiting. After checking in early, filling out paperwork, and waiting in their hideously painted/decorated, uncomfortable waiting room for an hour, a nurse that had already called back multiple other patients during out came to ask us if we were still waiting to be roomed and our name. Turns out the front desk lady never actually checked us in. The nurse, who was incredibly nice and actually seemed to care, took us back but when I asked if it was going to be a while longer she told us yes it would be since we were never checked in. I asked her if we left if we’d be charged a no show fee since we were never checked in and she said no. But from everything I’ve read now I’ll definitely be combing over my credit card charge’s meticulously ready to dispute the charge if it appears.
