Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Treatment
Complex regional pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder, which usually develops after injury or surgery and immobilization of the affected limb. The signature of CRPS is pain that is disproportionate to the inciting event and often spreads beyond the original site. It can present symptoms such as burning pain, swelling, temperature changes, skin hypersensitivity, discoloration or texture changes, and reduced range of motion.
The regenerative approach to CRPS treats it as a systemic condition that requires deep-level nervous-system regulation, improvement in circulation, cellular repair, inflammation control, and metabolic stabilization. It aims to calm pain pathways, restore function, and relieve the severe symptomatology that people with CRPS have.
