Patient reviews

This is going to be a two-part review, and I’m starting with the positive part I have to say. The MS clinic at Shepherd Center is absolutely outstanding—I genuinely don’t have the words to describe how incredible they are and my gratitude is immeasurable. Now for the reality of my experience with the Pain Institute, which has been nothing short of infuriating. At my first appointment, the doctor sent me out for a study and scheduled a follow-up. When I came back for that follow-up, that doctor was suddenly gone, and they replaced him with a nurse who clearly had no understanding of my case or even the report she was looking at. It was completely disorganized and a total waste of my time. And it gets worse. Today, I arrived 15 minutes late due to unusually severe traffic—something I can confidently say was out of the ordinary, especially since I come to Shepherd regularly and at that time. Despite that, they refused to see me. No flexibility, no understanding, nothing. Just another wasted trip and more of my time thrown away. Between the mishandled follow-up and today’s appointment, this has been an unbelievably frustrating and disappointing experience. I expected far better.
