Place was heavily understaffed, even the cleaning crew had quit. Most nights there was only a nurse there which in a detox facility is unacceptable as it only isn't inconvenient, there's a safety risk. I suffered multiple seizures in my sleep while there on the first night which nobody knew about. I woke up with a brief remembrance of shaking uncontrollably and my leg being injured. Detox patients also have access to phones from the residential side. They have the ability to walk down the street at any time to obtain illegal substances, one being my roommate with a THC weed vape. Food budget was extremely low as well for a place being paid by insurance. Low quality items and would have to ration them out. I've been to a few detoxes and this was by far the worst one. I highly recommend looking into another facility before sending your loved ones here. I'd use this place as a last resort option.

This place claims to be - trauma treatment center; however it looks and runs more like a state funded drug and alcohol facility. The staff does not appropriately do their jobs including the 15 to 30 minute checks on clients that are mandated to perform. I know this because I had a medical emergency my second day there and was left alone for three hours and finally had to find my way downstairs to call for help myself. (this was after waiting in a line at the nurses station and nobody letting me go, so I couldn't stay there anymore due to the pain that I was in ) When help finally came the nurse did not bother to check my blood pressure nor my heart rate and told me to go to bed and see if I feel better the next morning. I insisted that I have an ambulance called and was hospitalized for the next four days I was also forced for the one day that I was there for groups to sit through relapse prevention classes for substance abuse, despite not having any addiction I was informed before I went there that there was a separate track for Mental Health and that I would not be with those that are there for addiction however, this was not true. I took the pillowcase off of the pillow, and the pillow was stained. It was disgusting. I was never given towels, even after I asked for some, so I had to order a pillow, pillowcase, and towels while I was there. I do not suggest this place at all.

Thank God this place exists. Ambrosia was able to make me look at myself in ways I refuse to ever due before. Throughout the process I was shown how I was toxic to myself on almost every level. Helped me realize I was worth saving…. And many exercises to make sure I treated my self fairly and good. Some lessons took days to even realize how profound an impact they could have. Ambrosia gave me the tools I needed to be a better me and to keep doing the next “Right” thing. I recommend this facility 100% …if you put in the work, It works! Thank you for all you have provided me in life tools that I use daily. Beyond that… I found the facility safe, comfortable, and quite frankly beautiful. If you want help. Reach out to this facility… Do the Work… you won’t regret it
