Naturally You Dentistry, Dr. Javana Rae DDS

My whole family goes to Naturally You Dentistry. We are always treated with care, and respect, and the service is impeccable. Dr. Javana and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable and use many holistic techniques to help us take care of our oral health. For parents of little ones, I've taken my 4-year-old to Dr. Javana since she was 1. She has never had a negative experience, which is why she now loves going to the dentist.

Very patient with my toddler (2.5 yrs old), allowing multiple appointments until she was comfortable enough to have fillings done. No numbing. No fuss. Absolutely made possible by their patience and no pressure approach. Office uses ozone, prices are mid range (compared to Detroit biological dentistries), but up front. Final price is consistently within $100 of estimate. No sneaky surprises. I am not sure which credentials this office has in regards to airway or biological dentistry, other than IAOMT, which is basic. I am assuming that they will update their website as they gain trainings - like the breathe institute would be great.. But they check numerous boxes, such as ozone in water, ozone gas to halt cavities, no fluoride options such as silver nitrate. They have access to a laser for various treatments, but they don’t always use it for cavities. It’s case by case. They also use “biocompatible fillings”, but they don’t do any bloodwork or anything, so I’m not sure what that means. I assume they just choose good materials. Actual dentist is rather quiet, she obviously promotes patience and working with dental trauma, but in person she is pretty quiet. Sometimes the information the hygienist shares isn’t accurate (anymore) - make sure to do your own diligent research in regards to oral recommendations! New research comes out all the time! Like she told me that breastfeeding at night causes cavities … and 10% HA is the most effective. I don’t think either of these things is true! 😆
