Had an initial appointment with Ms. Michelle Bautista on 5/29/25. The office itself is clean, calming, and open. The receptionist was polite and friendly. I arrived at the time of my appointment (9am) and was asked if I had filled out the paperwork ahead. I had not. I began filling out the paperwork and about 10 or so minutes in, I heard a voice from the other side of the window of where the receptionist was, asking where her patient was (me, as I was the only one in the waiting area). The receptionist (or who I thought) replied “she is filling out the paperwork.” The voice (I am assuming the practitioner I was to visit with - Michelle) then stated that I should have filled the paperwork out ahead of time as now her appointments will be behind. She then stated why didn’t anyone call to remind me to fill it out ahead of time, my appointment was for 9, and now she will be seeing me later than that. I could hear her voiced was raised and I feel uncomfortable at this point. I then am trying to rush to complete the paperwork. I complete everything by 9:16 and hand to another person. She then takes me inside and takes my vitals. After, she explains how to download an app to get my body composition. She was nice and respectful. However, all I keep thinking is that I’m late for my appointment (even though I was on time) and if there was to be enough time to get through everything. I meet with Michelle around 9:30 at this point. She immediately states she only has 15 minutes, needs to hurry up, as she has another appointment soon. So now I feel rushed. For my first appointment and quite frankly guilty. She asks several questions, does not allow me to fully answer, then goes straight into selling me on several weight loss medications they have (very fast by the way) and at the end asks me what I would prefer. I had no time to think or really ask questions so I declined any medications. She gave some feedback on what I could do for weight loss. I had to ask her about the body composition app because I don’t understand it, which again, she quickly explained, before rushing me out the door. I never was able to go over my current weight loss goals, how my weight loss journey in the past has been, or what I was actually looking to gain from my visit. The visit cost: $153.00. This included vitals, a free body composition app which utilized their device to input information, some minor helpful information about diet, and an advertisement for their weight loss medication. I will not be back here unfortunately. It is also suspicious that many of their reviews are 5 years old… Hopefully they can read this and take into account their initial visitation process as well as assist any practitioners with allowing the client to feel welcomed and not rushed. - IN response to the administrator- I was told, when I scheduled the appointment, on 5/16 (two weeks in advance of the appt) via phone- that the forms were online and I would need to print them out via their website. I was NEVER sent the forms via email or text or told I would HAVE to have them completed prior to my appt. In addition, the practitioner who I saw came across with little hospitality. There is no excuse to rush me. Allow enough time for those clients who fill the paperwork out there and scheduling your next client.

There is a new nurse practitioner providing care at Kingwood Wellness, Michelle Bautista. I believe she's provided vacation coverage in the past. My experience with her is wonderful. Being a yoga therapist, I receive training with integrative and complementary medicine programs and national medical schools. I had recently attended a program which outlined new information and approaches to hormone replacement therapy as well as thyroid. Nurse Michelle was way ahead of my questions and we worked together to modify my treatment to take advantage of the new studies that improve the efficacy of treatment approaches. I have never been able to have a frank, cooperative conversation with any endocrinologist like the appointment at Kingwood Wellness. I absolutely endorse the new direction at Kingwood Wellness and encourage everyone to check them out to see if it is a good fit for them as well.
