I have been a patient at the clinic since Nov. 2021 after finishing chemotherapy. I am a different person now due to the knowledge shared by Dr. Fabio and the recommendations of his team. Dr. Almeida and his team have provided what, for us, has been a life-saving set of integrated treatments and services as we continue our decade-long battle with cancer. Like any disease (or, for that matter, simply maintaining and enhancing wellness), cancer involves a complex set of integrated factors that need to be addressed in combination - yet, prior to finding Dr. Almeida, the doctors we had worked with each seemed to focus on just one element of what had become a losing battle. As a life-long active healthy Alaskan – suddenly noticing hematuria and then learning my PSA was 2,440; my death-diagnosis was quite a shock. My prostate cancer had likely been ‘out-of-control’ many years before my initial Stage-4 diagnosis---but that was seven years ago: and - thanks to Dr. Fabio Almeida and his Center for Integrative Healing & Wellness___ I’m feeling ‘so-much-better’ today. My Alaskan urologist’s practice was small; without appropriate experience, and so I traveled to Los Angeles, seeking a second opinion from a team of highly trained/experienced prostate cancer specialists where I was informed that I was already “too-far-gone”; not eligible for surgery or radiation therapy. The expert/specialists informed me that I’d me on ADT for the rest of my (probably short) life. Why? Because primary ATD typically fails after 2-years; expensive second-generation ADT options might have extended my challenged quality-of-life another year--- but: I was given no other “treatment” options. In that moment, I was unaware that my survival depended upon my access to the latest nuclear diagnostic-imaging techniques: to establish the distribution of my cancer-bulk/burden. My luck changed when my Los Angeles based team of experts sent me to Dr. Fabio who at that time was developing his Center for Integrative Healing & Wellness. Dr. Fabio could provide the latest/best diagnostic imaging technology available: a grant-funded study then being conducted by Dr. Fabio, who was in-turn being recommended by the best prostate cancer doctors I was able to find in the USA. I'm a physicist, [Applied Mathematics and Engineering Physics], but this was amazing technology. With a cyclotron located next door, after reviewing the C11 diagnostic imaging light-up my cancer nodes (slice-by-slice, head-to-toe) with Dr. Fabio; I was amazed when he began to discuss something so simple--- like diet and lifestyle. I thought I was dying (without hope), but I quickly learned about “Integrative Medicine”. Turns-out I responded well to my initial ADT/Chemo treatments and eventually became eligible for radiation therapy. I’ve received the best of care available. I try hard to be a good patient, but Dr. Fabio’s experience, expertise and connections within the medical community have proven to be life-saving in my case. Now, today, my prognosis looks good; not only am I not likely to die from prostate cancer; Dr. Fabio’s Longevity knowledge has provided a new-lease-on ‘quality-of-life’ for me as well. My recent NAD+ subcutaneous injections have helped me to rise above the consequences of my now seven years of ADT/Chemo and Radiation treatments. Bottom-Line: I'm 70 years-old today and now might live to be 95 with an exceptional quality-of-life to look forward to. I recommend everyone look-into the "Integrative Medicine" approach to healthcare and Dr. Fabio's practice. The high-tech personalized medical care and compassion I’ve received at Dr. Fabio’s Center for Integrative Healing & Wellness, (in conjunction with diet and lifestyle self-discipline) has saved (this-man's) life.
